Dell Curry is behind this move. He is clearly bitter about Kemba passing him for all-time pts lead. 1st he got Ready kicked off TV and now this. Dell is a monster.

that seems like a massive overpay for 1.5 years of kemba and also not possible. boston will get one of these.

you can have one and one of phillys future 1st though

Look at what Butler received. Kemba is on the same level with a contract 6 million less, so that's not an overpay at all.

OK, trade Kemba in his prime. If that's what Kemba thinks is best for himself, then okay.

I've about had it with this team. May as well jump ship before they're in Seattle.

Packaging him with expiring contracts means that they won’t get good value in return. He was an all star. Do not trade him unless you’re getting a top five pick, especially given his contract.

Trade him for a top five, draft a top five, develop the top five, tank while developing, and let the terrible contracts expire while all of this is going down.

No way man. Adding Fultz would just put us on the treadmill again. We have to tank for a solid 2 years, so really would prefer 2019/2020 1sts. Trading for Fultz would be disaster.

Fultz is a #1 overall draft pick from one of the stronger draft classes in a while and Johnson is a $11 million expiring that'll relieve cap space to avoid Jordan from going into the luxury tax. I honestly don't even know if the Sixers would do it, but if I was personally the Sixers GM I would do it if Charlotte was willing to

Like I said it's basically just a swap and you're betting on Fultz getting to Kemba's level. It would put us in the exact same position we are in now 2 years from now.

I understand that but I think the thesis should be "is having multiple late lottery picks better than having one top prospect?". The Hornets are looking for top-end transcending talent. Fultz was labeled as such

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

This franchise is a mess, we are trying to trade our best player and we don't have any exciting young player to watch.

I am entirely too emotionally invested in this team. I hate being in limbo like this. If we move on, I hope we get some exciting young players and picks (AND FOR **** SAKE, FIRE CLIFF AND CHO SO THEY DON'T RUIN THEM) and not the trash we got for Gerald

I think I'd want both picks, not one or the other.

The Sixers don't own both picks. The Celtics own half of those two picks (LA pick if it's 2-5, otherwise SAC), the Sixers own the other half. I think it's a very nice pick that is basically guaranteed top 5 unless both picks end up as the #1 pick in their respective years. It wouldn't be the only piece in a Kemba trade though

Kemba and Batum for Saric, Fultz, Amir Johnson and Bayless.

Our pick becomes top 5. We dump Batum contract. So we could have young core of Fultz, Monk, our pick(Ayton or Michael Porter Jr)Saric, and Frank.

Watching everyone go into a frenzy while I’m sitting here thinking “I told ya so”. People just optimistically watched Cho and Clifford tear this team apart.

So should we just go ahead and make this the Seattle Supersonics message board, or wait for the inevitable?

This is 100% the result of Batums poor play and most importantly his God awful contract. If he had even the slightest bit of competitiveness in his body maybe we could at least be a 4-5 seed. So f******* fed up with this organization and how it's run. It's like a joke. Cho Clifford and silas need to be gone yesterday if we are at the point where we trade away Kemba to reset. And Batum needs to be benched and let himself sit and watch the fire dumpster he helped create. Feel bad for Walker honestly
