Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
If I am you guys I look to trade Dwight to Clev for their pick an dump one of those lower contracts. You aren't getting the Brooklyn pick for Dwight, but a late first and clearing some space is a good way to move forward. Then trade Kemba and another bad contract for a higher pick. I also don't think you are dumping Batum in any of those trades. That is one hell of a deal. Better to hold on to him and see if he can come back in the next few years and up his value.
If you can walk away with a lotto pick, the Clev pick, and Dwight, Kemba, Williams, and Zeller all off the books and mostly expiring contracts I think you might be in a good spot. Then hopefully Batum makes a semi comeback in a year or two and you move him without giving up assets. If I was a Char fan and this was the end result I would be pleased.

Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
Wallace played here 6 1/2 years and made the All-Star team in his last full year here before getting traded the next February.
Kemba will have played here 6 1/2 years and made the All-Star team in his last full year here, too.
I guess what I'm saying is Nic Batum can go to hell.

It's no way Cho survives this, this is a sign of failure and giving up.

Zeller doesn't need to go anywhere. In my opinion

Can't help but think about the irony of giving up on our one and only All Star in forever to launch a rebuild the season before we finally get the **** ASG.

Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
In an ideal world, I would trust Cho to make trades because he excels. Then fire him before draft. Fire Clifford at end of the year because he isn’t a good developmental coach. Get me Fizdale or someone. Hit Reset and try to get a top 3 pick this year and then pray Monk and whoever we get for Kemba turn out.

If we do something like this, cho and cliff has to go first.
Don't need them tainting whatever we get.

Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
Batums contact is so bad and he is so trash we are at the point where we are willing to trade Walker just so someone takes batums go's awful contract. If Cho survives this I will boycott Hornet games for the rest of my life.

Build around Frank, MKG, and Monk
MCW and Dwight fill out the tank commander squadron this year
Frank and Monk can really use the minutes/green lights, even if their efficiency is bad.

Fair enough. Even better then for you guys. I don't watch you guys enough to know. Replace MKG with Zeller then? I guess my main point is try to unload everyone but Batum (because he will cost to much to unload), get a lotto, a late first, and clear cap space. If that is done. You did pretty well. And lose every possible game this season.

Build around Monk and Lamb everyone else needs to go. It even said they tried trading MKG Dwight Marvin and Batum.

Good suggestions. I think the Cavs would do it.

Cho’s contract expires after this season. They don’t have to fire him unless they want to give him his walking papers early to get the new GM in the swing of things beforehand.

Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
Trading him is one thing. But trading him when he absolutely wants to be here is pathetic.

Re: Woj: CHA making Kemba available in trade talks
Basically a reset button with Monk instead of Kemba this time. Trade Kemba and give Monk, Lamb and our 2018 draft pick 30+ minutes next season and start all over again. Monk and Lamb are the only 2 current players I would like to see kept for the new rebuilding process. Everyone else needs to go. Actually I forgot about zeller he been out so long. Monk, Lamb, And zeller to lead the new Era/tank in Charlotte. That way we can guarantee a few years of high lottery picks and Monk and Lamb can hopefully blossom into one of the NBAs best backcourt with all the playing time. Trust the process.

So that's great in theory, but we've all seen how easy it is to mess up the process.
Plus, as others note, Kemba wants to be here. No guarantee that the next good player we draft will feel the same.
