I've always liked the Lakers dating back to my childhood, which came just after Magic and Kareem's reign ended. But I've been a Charlotte Hornets fan for most of my life because they're my home team.

Well, I've finally come to realize that supporting such an embarrassing, hopeless, trash-filled wet fart of an excuse for a so-called franchise is a wholly fruitless endeavor. They're committed to failure and are only one sale away from being the Seattle Supersonics anyway.

So I'm here. I realize I'll probably get flamed in some way, which is fine, but the Lakers were my squad when I had no home team. Now they're my squad for good. I've followed the team in the Shaq, Kobe and Phil-led days of yore and the Jeremy Lin and Dwight Howard-led headscratchers of more recent memory.

Also, Luol Deng needs to go away. Soon.
