I'll be glad when this is all over and we can go back to the days where guys who couldn't even make their high school teams can stop pretending to be shot doctors on social media. It's embarrassing.

You’ll see..

If Fultz come back to even the shooting level he had before, he will be scary with the added explosiveness he will get from NBA gyms. Been saying this even before the draft. Fultz had a baby body still, untapped athletic potential. If the shot comes back, it's over

i dont think some of you realize how good of an attacker/distributor fultz is. the guy isnt the top prospect in the 2017 draft just for his jump shooting

it's slow. not near accurate enough. but look at the release point. that's been the main issue, his shoulder being too sore for him to extend his arm fully. he's just starting to fully extend, again. if he can continue to do that, pain free, then hopefully it won't take that long to find his old rhythm.

With the 3 point shot we have to talk about it in 2 separate contexts...

I really don't think he's going to be shooting 3s this year if/when he comes back. Whatever is going on here, it's going to be hard enough just to get him right from mid range. This team isn't winning a title this year. It's not the end of the world if he's not shooting 3s. They need to treat him and Simmons the way they treat Embiid and Johnson. Count on those 4 guys to play the 96 minutes at those two positions, and then count on Saric/Redick/Covington/TJ/Whatever wing we are trying to talk ourselves into that week for the 144 minutes at the other 3 spots. That means Fultz will probably play like 15 minutes a game. I would even be inclined to time it so Fultz's minutes coincide with Embiid's No-Simmons minutes so that those two get reps/there's another shooting threat out there/if he feels lost he can just dump it down low to Embiid.

Then in the off season you try to get Fultz right from 3. Which seems like it should be possible assuming he's willing to put the work in.

Either way, I'm not really sure of the point of slaving over these daily practice clips. His form isn't going to change much day to day. It was bad a few days ago its bad today. If it could this would have been resolved a while ago. It's probably going to take months.

F that. Amir and Simmons on the court is painful enough to watch. We need a f'n guard who can create and hit a 3PT. Right now we have Reddick but he's more of a spot up guy who we are forcing into the role which is why his efficiency isn't where it should be.

The celtics have Irving thats the kind of guy we need. We have our betas in Simmons, Saric, and Reddick. We need an alpha desperately. Right now that guy is Embiid but it's beyond stupid to have him take long two's because noone else can create his own shot.

He’s getting better. It is probably going to take him the rest of the year and the offseason, but he will get it back.

Agree with this.

I dont think his shooting will get perfect before the offseason.

BB doesnt allow guys to shoot 3s if they arent shooting them well on practice, while league standard in shooting 3s is crazy.

What I want him to prioritized is to be reliable on halfcourt offense, specially on PnR. That also would lean on his finishing around the rim, pull up and FTs attempts and mades.

Man I feel for Fultz. It almost doesn't matter what he does he is going to be marked harshly as a rookie. People are going to expect him to be what Embiid and Simmons were their first 10 games... and its going to be excruciating to listen to people beat him down because he isn't.

The worst guard on the Sixers can swish open shots in practice with no one guarding. Fultz isnt going to play this year I feel. With no ability to shoot he doesnt deserve to be on the floor.

What about Simmons? Rondo? These guys don’t shoot threes and are very effective. I feel like it’s foolish to sit him all year because he’s struggling with one aspect of his game.

Red shirt for him and this is wise. He is a kid. This and other boards will tear him apart if he comes this year with this shoot. He has enough time to practice on the floor BB's ideas of how he should play the game and give at least some of his shoot back in the following 8 healthy months. Then it will become interesting :) 2020 is the year guys ;) not before.

Simmons -6-10 245 lb beast who can pass, defend, rebound and drive to the basket at a very high level. He can affect the game without shooting.
Rondo--lightning quick lockdown defender who can also affect the game without shooting.

Fultz doesnt have the size or defensive ability yet. He probably isn't even drafted if he didn't show an ability to shoot from all ranges. And right now, he cant shoot. Its not just 3 pointers...HE. CANT. SHOOT...FROM ANYWHERE. He needs to sit out the year.
Maybe next year he comes back strong, if not Sixer fans may just have to deal with the reality that BC blew two prime assets for nothing.
