I know Caris and Din gets a lot of the late game credit, but DMC fought the entire game. When things weren't falling early on, the oldest guy (or at least one of) was the most aggressive, physical, and grittiest on the team. Raptor fans can stick it with all their hate on this dude.

Caris was huge though. That 4th quarter finish he had was Joe Jesus like on offense. The pull up against Whiteside was a player who had 100% confidence in his game.

Games like this make me really wonder if Okafor can fit in this team long-term. As a cheap vet min guy, sure it's nice to have a guy who can put the ball on the floor and score inside a bit. But everything we ask of our big guys, offensively and defensively.

Have a feeling Kennys ideal center is a taller Acy with more consistency from the outside.

LOL I'm the last person you have to talk to about getting too high on these young guys. If anything I'm usually the one tempering everyone's expectations around here.

But in that game? In that context? No question about it. Caris knew they couldn't stop him and he darn well took advantage of it.

For the record, he was only under 39% from 3 one year in his career.

His first two seasons getting actual minutes and playing more than 50 games, he shot 39.3% and then 44% from 3 on good volume.

Painting him as more of a 38% 3 guy based off a season where he played less than 700 minutes and only took 85 3s is unfair. He's shooting under 40% on open 3s. I think it's safe to say he'll improve. Not sure why Crabbe is the only one who can't develop on this team.

like i said, he has only been above 40% one time in his career (not counting his rookie year when he played 15 games).

so again, it was hard to predict that with increased volume his numbers would dip back below 40%. especially since last year was such an outlier as his only 40%+ season from three.

Allen Crabbe has been hitting the glass hard this month. He does little things that go unnoticed. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite guys on the team despite the contract. even when he's off he still plays hard.

He really does go unnoticed when his shot is off.

like MDB i love crabbe because he plays hard and does what the coaches want. but i dont think he is doing enough yet to really earn his keep even if you consider him a 12M player

yeah. he has to become more consistent offensively. as far as his effort and commitment, i have zero questions there.

yeah, DMC was relentless last night. this team will take a huge hit if or when he's dealt.

people cringe (me including) when he puts the ball on the floor but he does it and doesn't settle. he tries to make things happen.

i think we'll have a better idea about Okafor's long term fit by April, and assuming he's resigned, he'll have a whole summer with the training/coaching staff. he's going to have to get that 3point shot in his arsenal

you feel like if they get an offer of young promise that they'll move him. I think there will be a shift into who the go to guy is going to be. First thing you notice is Caris Levert has and might shift to SF and that will free up Isiah Whitehead to back up 2.
