With more reps, Willy could improve defensively. There's no question. When he getting consistent minutes with KP they looking like a formidable duo. We need to see that again to assess if there's something with Willy we should hold on to.
Kanter was a spark in the beginning of the year, but that act has quickly turned about face. Merry and Pills need to realize that no one is going to judge the carmelo trade on whether Kanter is a revelation. Something needs to happen right now.

Willy has played like **** ever since he got benched during the FIBA tourney in September. And we're only 3 months into the season, a little over half through the season and this guy is complaining as if he deserves his spot based on last yr's performance

Now, I do think we should keep Willy and he should be playing the back up C position but we can't act like he's playing remotely close to decent when he's been on the floor, both Kyle and Kanter have outplayed him. Plus we need to play those guys, especially Kyle, if we want to maximize what ever we can get for him via trade.

Sigh... if we do move him I'll miss him. I like his game and his value has depreciated all the way to the point in which he'll probably only fetch a second rounder or a very marginal prospect. I do think his game meshes well with Porzingis, he's the rebounder that Porzingis needs next to him. Out of O'Quinn, Kanter and Hernangomez I rather keep Willy, but I understand if we do trade him.

No..he just said he's open to being traded. Last time...the title was wrong. He didn't say he was open to a trade. He just kept saying he wants to play HERE. Now he's saying he'd be open to a trade because he just wants to play. Big difference.

It's stupid on his part. He's not lighting up the court most chances he gets. He's not smart enough to realize that Kyle is most likely gone soon? He's going to get minutes when that happens. Too impatient?

The fact that Jeff has this kid feeling the need to "pressure" the team is not good though. Is there more to this losing than meets the eye? Is Jeff losing his players? This is not a good look for either party. This kid should feel confident he's going to get an oportunity...not mad that he hasn't yet. Unless he's just an entitled little prick. That's always a possibility.
