We wouldn't be able to do it until the offseason but the Knicks should inquire about a Lee for Powell swap. Powell has underwhelmed since signing his deal but he also hasn't gotten much of a chance with Toronto pretty stacked at the wings. For them, they might view him as the vet piece they're missing.

He could either be a big piece off the bench or you move Timmy to SF next year.

I don't think I like Timmy at SF. But we do need a solid backup for him at SG ... and a SF.

G-Tim Hardaway Jr. | Marco Belinelli
F-Nic Batum | Keita Bates-Diop | Lance Thomas
F-Kristaps Porzingis | Michael Beasley
C-DeAndre Ayton | Brandon McCoy | Aron Baynes

Why is Baynes taking a paycut?
Why does any team offer an expiring and a 1st for Kanter and KOQ. Both guys are expiring on their own.....a team can simply purchase these guys next season without giving any assets, not that they deserve a 1st to begin with. After the season has unfolded, Cavs won't be trading away any pics or taking on salary longer than any of their current members. No one is taking Noah. Other than that, good list......but a good 80% of that isn't possible.

A poor shooting team probably shouldn't go after a player who can't shoot. The spacing would be horrible.

We actually shoot the 3 at an above average clip we just don't shoot any of them... Not many willing gunners from deep outside of McB and THard.

Realistic Salary dumps

1) NY/Por trade
Blazers get Courtney Lee
NY gets Ed Davis, Napier, and Connaughton

2) NY/Minnesota trade
Minnesota gets Lance Thomas
NY gets Bjelica and Aaron Brooks

3) NY/Houston trade
Houston gets Ron Baker
NY gets Tarik Black

We obviously would have to cut some of these guys because of the roster space but all the players coming back are expiring contracts.

You talking about something about the Spurs and Kawhi having some kind of discord about his injury or something like that? I heard about it but haven't heard much.

Napier is so important to the Blazers they balk at that

Minny likes Bjelica. No way they take LFT for that

Baker stinks. No one wants that contract. Tarik is actually decent.

something about screaming A mentioning that the spurs called the knicks this past off season and then decided against it. I'm assuming if there's anything to it, it might have been around the time phil was "shopping" kp.

Really? Wow, so you think they were maybe gonna talk with us about a KP for Kawhi deal?? That would of been a trade to give serious thought to but now with this mystery shoulder injury or whatever it is with Kawhi i'm not so sure i'd do it. Of course we'd have to go over all the medicals. It's probably a bunch of BS if it's coming from SAS anyway.

I'm just assuming what it might have been considering the time frame this was supposedly discussed. http://thebiglead.com/2018/01/22/stephen-a-smith-said-spurs-were-willing-to-trade-kawhi-leonard-to-knicks-before-season-now-theres-discord-in-san-antonio/

Give thought to? I'd take Kahwi today, tomorrow, next year and 5 years from now.... He's much better at both sides of the ball and plays a more premium position in today's NBA. There wouldn't even be a second thought.

It's time to hire Kidd and lay the foundation for Giannis to come aboard.

Give thought to whatever the entire deal would of been. We don't know anything about what was talked about and with Kawhi already proving himself to be that #1 guy on a team and KP hasn't yet then i wouldn't doubt if the Spurs would want more then just KP from us.

the hell he will. unless he's on his way to QO, that's a supermax if there ever was one.

if he's irreparably upset with the franchise, then he can ask for a trade publicly and put the pressure.
