Hey Epi, long time between drinks sir.

Fans who spend money and time can make their own evaluation of coaches whether you disagree with them or not. Ultimately the record is the marking stick of whether someone was 'bad' or 'good'. We've had a lot of sub .500 teams, for whatever reasons.

I would also say in this age of social media we get a lot more info than we used to regarding behind the scenes stuff. I would also say collectively there is a good amount of analysis that one can create a reasonable picture of a coach with, if one can look through the biases.

I'd also add, in defense of Kidd, that his #1 and #2 goals as coach when he took the job really were to develop Giannis and Jabari into all-NBA-type players. He successfully helped Giannis get there, even if Prunty or whoever else may have had a bigger hand in that. For Jabari, even if their relationship had been wine-and-roses, the two ACLs didn't permit that development to happen, so he gets a pass.

Building the team into a winner is obviously important, but I think if the Bucks were around where the Heat are right now, but Giannis was still our 4th best player, I'd feel let down with Kidd in that case too.
