Over time a lot of stuff is going to come out. Stuff like Kidd thinking the Bucks should explore trading Giannis for Jimmy Butler like he did in the summer of 2015. The guy was a walking, talking Vin Diesel character. And he stuck his beak into everything.

Kidd has $15 million reasons to sit back, stay quiet and play some golf. But if he can't do that, it will speak to precisely why he had to go.

Jason Kidd lost me early in the season. I looked at his job preformance similar to an apprenticship. Looks like 2-3 years in, Kidd showed what he could offer, but couldn't get the job done.

Working in the building trades for 40 years, seen a lot of potential great journeyman, but if by the 3 year, the employee would be sent packing.

Can't believe that this fandom ride started 50 years ago for me. :D

Giannis is devastated now, and then he will be excited when the new HC is hired, and life will go on.
I had the same situation with my first coach, I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. In the end he was an idiot who got nowhere in basketball or life.

If Kidd is smart, he'll fade into the background until 2020 or 2021 and then go after another coaching job then. Kidd could be a hot commodity on the market with Giannis' impending free agency and some team thinking they can use Kidd to bring in Giannis.

Just hope Giannis' loyalty to Milwaukee trumps his loyalty to Kidd.

I'm in no way worried about losing Giannis. 4 years is a long way away. We could have won a championship by then with the stud coach we hire in the off-season *hopefully.*

Kidd has left every team he's been with -- as player and coach -- in a "burn it all down" manner. No way he goes away quietly without leaks and stories getting out.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Golden State players were "devasted" when Jackson was fired. Winning changes everything. They go 8-2/9-1/10-0 over the next 10gms and no one will even care about Jason Kidd anymore.

I'm sure every front office in the NBA scouts potential coaching hires on a regular basis. It's just part of being prepared for the inevitable. But how good is their scouting? Time will tell.

Think about all the people Giannis interacts with on a daily basis. At the practice facility. At the arena. His favorite places around town. He has plenty of people around these parts that he's attached too. As long as we're winning, he'll be fine. He'll forget all about Kidd sooner than later.

Did Kidd's hip injury hamper his coaching at all? I hate Kidd all around, but felt he held back and wasn't active enough on the sideline. It really hurt the team that we wasn't pacing the sideline shouting directions or riding refs.

I don't anticipate it being an issue. But when the media grabs hold of a narrative, weird things happen. People get into their own heads. And Giannis is obviously still very impressionable.

I would not be surprised if they have something in the works already... The whole we will wait til the end of the season seems a lot like lip service.
