Re: KIDD FIRED
Not a good career move for Kilpatrick to dance on Kidd's grave, but his happy dance does hint at some of the soap opera things being discussed here.
Hoping for better days ahead and a more collegial tone here.

That Kilpatrick tweet came an hour before the Woj bomb. Pretty sure he's just a big fan of god.

Re: KIDD FIRED
Per Bill Michaels, he heard there was a big blowup during practice. Kidd telling everyone to F*Off including players and front office staff. Bucks decided to no longer wait to part ways. Management told Kidd they wanted to meet him over lunch and fired him.
Michaels said that this is why the firing came before the game instead of after the Philly game. He heard they planned on parting ways after the season, but the blowup brought it to a head.
Michaels didn't get into any specifics except what is mentioned above.

What if other players let their frustration with Kidd be known to Horst/the owners? Giannis saying he'll try to save Kidd's job isn't gonna help things amongst him and the others.
Subtle sabotage.

We need specifics. Then again maybe it doesn't matter. Seems like Kidd wanted out and this got him out.
Does cast a much different light on things as it relates to him playing victim with Giannis.

Yup, that lines up. Timing didn't make sense unless it were something to that effect and we've gotten indicators of him alienating at least a few players.
I think one of the benefits of it going down this way is we'll get a robust honeymoon effect. Players, outside Giannis apparently, will be very relieved to know that he's gone and it'll translate on the court. Giannis is a competitor and he'll get over it quickly.

I agree. I think in some ways Kidd wanted out and I think he made a play to force their hands.

Michaels is pushing that Horst one man pushed Kidd out.

I see nothing to suggest this. He was desperately trying to skirt blame in the post-game pressers, still had some influence over personnel here w/ the Lasry relationship, and apparently wants to jump right back into the profession.

I'd say him still wanting to coach and him also wanting a $12 million dollar parachute to get out of Milwaukee aren't mutually exclusive.
He's a former HOF player. Like Jordan and others before him, those type of guys many times just aren't cut out to be coaches. They act erratically as the competitive gene can't be controlled.

So do I, because he was so inexperienced, was lucky to get this job, and would have been seriously jeopardizing it to try and undermine Lasry's boy. He may well have been on board with it, as everyone observant was, but Lasry or Edens + Dinan almost surely were the impetus first.

Where Michael's story needs a lot of fill in is how we got to swearing at practice and Horst saying "I'm done" with Horst and Feigin taking Kidd to lunch and telling him he's being lot go. Doesn't add up.

If he's not b.s.'ing about his intentions to the media it kind of is. He's not going to get a job elsewhere for a long time if ever.
Don't know what the 2nd paragraph has to do with the first. Naturally I agree.

Re: KIDD FIRED
The story Michaels is pushing is that there was a blow up; ostensibly between Kidd and Horst. The blow up led to an off the cuff firing directly from Horst. He said he talked to multiple people in the organization. If this is true, it needs to get leaked. Horst would be worshipped.

Feign was involved too? Not surprising, but interesting all the same.
