Would you trade Willy and our 2019 first rounder for Brandon Ingram?

I’ve seen a fair amount of ingram and he’s pretty far from an impact player on a nightly basis

He’s skilled but I’m doubtful he’s worth our pick
Not unless it’s protected and I doubt that would appeal to the lakers

What about Lillard? I feel like he's one of the best somewhat available players. If not for the Blazers' inability to put together a decent team defense around him (like Boston and Golden State could), he'd be all you could ask for in a player.

They have a stud in McCollum (who'd also be nice with Frank) so they might move one of the two and I'd include pretty much every imaginable asset to get either Lillard or McCollum from Portland.

Seriously everyone with a brain and connections to the spurs. You don't ever trade such a talent. He's the closest thing to LeBron not named Durant.

I'll trade KP and even more for Kawhi. The story is bullcrap though. Kawhi is not available.

A poor shooting team probably shouldn't go after a player who can't shoot. The spacing would be horrible.

We actually shoot the 3 at an above average clip we just don't shoot any of them... Not many willing gunners from deep outside of McB and THard.

That's right, we need more.

I proposed going after Lillard or McCollum, like Rodney Hood as a target and feel like there's even more out there. We have assets and many teams are stuck. Look at Memphis (Conley), New Orleans (Clark, Holiday), Orlando (Fournier), Detroit (Melo 2, Drummond), Lakers (KCP), Denver (Mudiay), Cleveland (their pick for KP?) Or Phoenix (some of their perceived busts for Willy might be a nice try).
We should be creative: this is the first time in years that decent scenarios are there that don't automatically look foolish or like typical Knicks circus moves that certainly backfire.

EDIT: let me add that I'm not willing to give up too much for some of the players above, but we have many possible packages to offer..

He will be an UFA in 2021.

the hell he will. unless he's on his way to QO, that's a supermax if there ever was one.

if he's irreparably upset with the franchise, then he can ask for a trade publicly and put the pressure.

Then get ready to trade KP and more.

What would it take for you to take a deal for Shumpert or J.R. Smith from Cleveland?

"I had a phone conversation yesterday with Dennis Robertson, Kawhi's uncle and business manager, who is based in New Jersey. Dennis called me and we had a nice chat. Before Dennis called me he said he had a conversation with RC Buford, GM of the Spurs, and said they had a great conversation. Overall, here's the consensus: the story is farthest from the truth. That was a quote from Dennis. We talked about the situation. Really, there's no issue between Kawhi and the Spurs. Kawhi has the utmost respect for Popovich and Buford. It's not about any issues internally. This is about not having any more setbacks. There's no re-injury right now. The focus is strengthening that left quad. It's really important because the quad is an injury that can come back and bite you. It's an injury you can get again and re-injure a lot easily, so it's about strengthening that quad and keeping Kawhi focused on getting back to that strength to help him into the NBA situations. That's the focus right now."

I'm aware it's probably not true, but I really wish it was.

I found that 1% of the time that I'd trade the youth for established players.

https://clutchpoints.com/spurs-rumors-san-antonio-wouldve-traded-kawhi-leonard-to-knicks-before-season-according-to-stephen-a-smith/

And I'm aware Stephen a sucks ass.

But I'd do porz for kawhi, if it came with an extension.

Then I'd do frank for kemba as long as it came with an extension.

Kemba
Lee
Kawhi
Who cares
Who cares

I'd love the **** out if anyway to get the best player in the NBA, as long as it came with guarantees he'd stick around. Love kawhi

Move kanter and/or willy/whatever else for another established big man, like a horfordish?

I bet adding timmy to it would bring back a nice haul for a pf or center. Or use him as a scorer off the bench, or push kawhi to pf for small ball

Start planting the seeds now. By then, KP will be useful and Kidd will be credited with the turn-around of the Knicks... just in time for Giannis to put us over the top.
