Aldridge requested a trade just a few months ago from the Spurs.

Aldridge was a lot more believable though. Came in to the culture, struggled to fit in, was asked to adapt his role. Kawhi seems like the quintessential Spur.

Wiretap says Skal and Malachi Richardson. A bit unusual because Skal looked really good in his rookie season. Wonder whether the Bulls can get involved in that at all. If Mirotic is out at some point that means minutes available at the 4/5.

Why not just let him opt out and try to sign him...that way we don't lose assets

When can he opt out?

Pretty darn sure its next summer 2019...pretty sure he has a player option for 19-20

Were not getting Kawhi at a discount rate guys. If Kawhi was actually available, Celtics, sixers, and even Clevland have better draft picks to offer. Unless they REALLY like Dunn/Niko. But i cant imagine that other teams couldn't pour out a better package

well .. if they can give the picks, go ahead and do. Id have fun watching they losing the pick for a rental just like, well .., I had lots of fun when Howard went to Lakers and walked away :)

One reason why he is unhappy is that he wants to go to bigger market. So .. Cleveland, sorry, if you trade your pick, you're going to regret.

yeah, Celtics can and should go for. I'd be ok if we don't get him because Boston offered Lakers pick ... Would be frustrated if he was available and Cleveland obtained him in a Shumpert and Frye deal .. that would mean we didn't even try.

Kawhi 2019, AD 2020 with Lauri, Lavine and Dunn...now that's a force to be reckoned with...will never happen though.

Lauri (plus salary filler) for Kawhi straight-up?

Bulls could keep Niko (and happy as starting PF).
Dunn, Lavine, Leonard, Niko, RoLo contends right away.

I wouldn't trade Lauri for just 1 year rental of Kawhi before he leaves in UFA to whatever situation is best.

Not weird at all. After Duncan left, that team needed some kind of short rebuilding and LMA and Gasol arent enough to replace. Not to mention Parker and Manu are all ancient. That Spurs team w/o Leonard is pretty garbage like a bottom 5 team soon enough if they dont replenish fresh legs. On top of this, his rehab is where it exploded when the stress level was already increasing. SA isnt looking like what it used to be. They were just freaking lucky to get Duncan.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Ok, now we have something to look forward to! Doncic will have plenty of choices to pass the ball to...

why not? I think Lauri, in 2 seasons, will be a an star type of player. Dunn has improved greatly an Lavine .. he will be back. he plays without fear.
this team, without any trades this season WILL be a playoff team next season. Add a lottery pick and maybe we go past 1st round.
Lebron will be "gone" by them (2020) as dominant player. Teams wont have much cap to compete.

Kawhi (as free agent) is doable. AD i have no clue how you would manage to have cap for that...

tank move: Cavs for some weird reason wants a PG. We trade Grant for their pick and derrick rose or calderon. then we release them whoever comes lol

Niko and Grant/Holiday to Memphis for there 1st would be beyond perfect. Just say they pick 5th we pick 7th I'd go hopefully Doncic/Porter and JJJ/Bamba/Carter JR

Pg Dunn
SG Lavine
SF Porter/Doncic
PF Markannen
C JJJ/Bamba/Carter JR
Go Iowa Hawkeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldnt say bottom 5,they are actually tied for third in the West and Leonard has barely played. Popovich wins no matter who is there. Obviously he needs Leonard to have a chance at contending but let’s not say bottom 5,they have a very good team.

Spurs are going to want more than that. I’d say 2 first round picks, Niko and Lavine would be the price.

How about Grant, Niko or Portis & Holiday or RoLo for Shumpert, Cavs 1st and the right to swap picks (BKN/CHI) with best to Chicago worse to Cleveland.

Bulls go full tank move, get the better pick (increased chances) & add a late 1st (could trade up a 2-3 spots at the draft with that pick)

Return to Chicago Bulls
