That would be silly.

Getting SOME value for him is better than none.

Especially for a small market team like the Spurs.

Yeah right dude. The conversation starts with Booker. Or are you going to say he's off the table?

You really think even including Booker the Suns would have enough to trade for Kawhi? Not sure about that, but I'm pretty sure the Suns wouldn't do it anyway since I can't see Kawhi re-signing with the Booker-less Suns in 2019. The Suns roster may not be pretty now, but it would be a disaster if they traded Booker and their first or something for Kawhi and he left.

Booker, Jackson + 2019 1st? I agree with your point though about Kawhi not resigning...

You are a suns fan? Suns will keep Booker but trade whatever. He is 21 and avg 25/5/4 . If you can have that offensive weapon next to an all around stud in Leonard! That is a bright future.

This seems so outlandish and so unlike Kawhi and the Spurs.

Even if we have a live interview with Kawhi demanding a trade (which would never happen) after all the effort they made to keep LMA I can't see Pop and Buford just trading Kawhi because of family issues.

They'll hold him for the remainder of his contract and trade him on that deadline if it's still necessary.

If Kawhi leaves the spurs for a big market that would be terrible for the NBA

SA is a small market (though 7th biggest city in U.S even though only 24th biggest metro area), but are you saying Houston is a small market? It's the 4th biggest city in the states and the 5th biggest Metro area.

Knew this wasn’t gonna be all that true when Stephen A Smith of all people said “I’m hearing that too” about this rumor.

Could anyone beat Boston putting everything on the table outside of Kyrie / Tatum / Horford / Hayward (so basically Jaylen Brown / Marcus Smart / Marcus Morris / Yabusele / Lakers 1st / Clippers 1st / Grizzlies 1st).

My God. As a Raps fan, I really hope not.

Kyrie/Tatum/Hayward/Kawhi/Horford What an amazing two-way lineup...

...

And yet I'd still pick

Curry/Klay/Durant/Iggy/Dray in a series though...how crazy is that?
Financially, is that even possible?

Nope. They had to trim salary just to fit Hayward under his max deal.

I mean, it's not going to happen for other reasons, but I don't see why this wouldn't be legal under the CBA. We just need to send out within $5M of his salary, not fit his entire salary under the cap like we did with Hayward. Kawhi is making $18.9M/year. Brown $4.7M + Marcus Smart $3.4M + Marcus Morris $5M + Yabusele $2.2M = $15.3M. Unless the salary info I got was wrong or I did the math wrong (both possible), it seems like it should be trivial to make a legal four-for-two trade.

Kawhi is retiring a Spur with 3 rings, 1 MVP and 3 Finals MVP.

ESPN needs to hire Broussard back to restore some credibility.

I'd pay to see a reaction here if Kawhi ends going going to GSW as an upgrade for Iguoudala

It is not in SAS style to sell injuried player. If it was Celtics I could see high possibility

How come a team never trades before rumours get out.

2 days ago SA could have gotten basically anything but now they're looking half of whatever that was.

I am not sure if anyone could beat that offer, maybe Philly.

Absolutely love Kawhi, but Celtics would be crazy to give up that haul.

Tatum is going to be a stud and a star...
Brown is also showing he will be an impact player... both on rookie deals and playing excellent.

Plus you have Gordon Hayward coming back...

So you have 2 future stars and a good fit in Hayward with Irving and heaps of picks.

As much as I love Kawhi and he is a great player.... having depth, star potential youth, picks and Hayward to come back to slot in perfectly next to Irving is too much to risk.

What Celtics need is a legit big man to dominate the boards or inside.

i agree. this is way too much especially for a guy who wants to be traded. that is three top 3 three picks, one lottery pick and another middle first rounder.

They didnt even try CP3.

What's the point ? Nobody has a chance against the dubs anyway.
Just like the cavs, I totally get that they want to keep the bkn pick, whatever trade they might do will not help them win a title anyway.

It's absolutely possible. Marcus Morris - $5 mil / Jaylen Brown - $5 mil / Marcus Smart - $4.5 mil make enough combined to make a trade for Kawhi work.

Trades are different than FA.

And why would the spurs ever accept that deal ?

Only way that happens if RC is drunk which is very possible
