IDK, they are the 6th best team in the league right now with Kawhi being out all season. If he was healthy, they'd be as good as anybody outside of GS, and they aren't a fair measuring stick.

Kinda seems like there's something else going on here. It almost seemed like he was unhappy with the way the team is handling his injury problems, but I kind of wonder if he might have wanted LMA traded, and is pissed they kept him.

Hard to say, but even though some of those offseason moves seem questionable, you can't really complain about where that team is at playing without Kawhi.

I don't disagree but I am going to say right now that the reason Dennis Lindsey spouts so much about cap flexibility is because of Kawhi Leonard, i am pretty sure it was DL who pushed for the Spurs to draft Kawhi, if Kawhi wants to be apart of a big three than adding himself to Gobert and Mitchell makes the Jazz insane, the Jazz maybe losing so badly so they can have a good enough pick in the summer come draft night they can swing for Kawhi, sure we are tanking but its not for a rookie but a player like Kawhi who fits so well into the Jazz mold and the reason why we haven't seen a Mirotic trade yet is because that 1st round pick is earmarked for Kawhi Leonard come draft night.

Edit: Also a team built around Exum-Mitchell-Kawhi-Mirotic-Gobert challenges Golden State.

Sorry, but I think you're dreaming if you believe we could trade for Kawhi and still keep Gobert and Mitchell. Utah's pick alone this year doesn't do it and we don't have much else. Future picks wouldn't matter as they are likely to be very late picks.

If you're going to dream of Kawhi, you might as well dream about signing him as a FA in a year because a trade just isn't gonna happen.

It would take the right circumstances but don't think it could not happen, San Antonio doesn't want to find themselves in Utah's or Oklahoma's shoes in 2019. If anything the trade for Kawhi might go down draft night if we find ourselves with a top ten pick.

How Spurs can end like that? Do you see any signs of Spurs transformations developing team? I don't. They didn't even play Celtics trick with their aged superstars - they all going to retire as Spurs. They understand that the only chance for small market team to keep star players is to maintain highest possible standard of loyalty (almost family like) to players and keeping at winning attitude for dear life.

If Kawhi wants out that’s one more guy in 2019 FA.

It’s looking more and more like 2019 should be a big focus.

So apparently the Kings are looking to move Skal just so they could clear roster spots in order to trade Hill, a player who they just signed. Unbelievable. Such a poorly run organization. DL should be all over this.

I hope so, but I doubt anything happens.

Cavaliers Move Tristan Thompson Into Starting Lineup, Jae Crowder To Bench
https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/248728/Cavaliers-Move-Tristan-Thompson-Into-Starting-Lineup-Jae-Crowder-To-Bench

The Cavs are doing this mainly to get some more size in the starting lineup, but Jae Crowder hasn't been anywhere close as effective player for the Cavs as he was for Boston. His performance on both ends of the court has dropped off dramatically. I am tempted to think this might have something to do with Coach Brad Stevens' ability to put players in a position to succeed and to get the best out of players, but it might not have anything to do with coaching.

Read on Twitter

"Love was not asked in his group session with the media about the play, but there was little doubt, based on several conversations after the game with Cavs players, that he meant what he did."

Read on Twitter

Asked about it by reporters outside the locker room, Green went back in and yelled to Love: "You see the (stuff) you started? They think you did that on purpose."
"It was," Love said. "I don't like you Jeff."

Love might be more available than we realize. Is he worth the potential cost?

If we can get Love we should do it.

LeBron James, an All-Star captain who for the first time got to pick who was on his team out of a pool of All-Stars for the midseason classic, did draft Love on Thursday. But he didn't bother to text or call Love after the draft, who said he found out James drafted him via Twitter.

For comparison, Stephen Curry, the other All-Star captain, texted all of his Warrior teammates who are All-Stars to tell them what happened.

Poor Love. This could be a Hornacek or Harpring situation where they thrive when traded to the Jazz.

Anyone think that Love's value will take a hit with the apparent unhappiness or will Lue get fired for not keeping a locker room together?

Bell even gives us some Matt Harpring tidbits. Thanks for the link.

After reading the articles, I think this quote is a bit misleading. It lacks a key sentence that comes right before it, that changes the way it should be perceived, if true. A more complete qoute:

Love was actually caught acting up twice on camera during Friday's game. Coming out of a timeout, he threw his hoodie in Jeff Green's face. Green gave him a puzzled look, and rookie Cedi Osman looked at Love like he'd stolen his lunch money.

But at least Love and Green were laughing about that one after the game.

Asked about it by reporters outside the locker room, Green went back in and yelled to Love: "You see the (stuff) you started? They think you did that on purpose."
"It was," Love said. "I don't like you Jeff."

I think the culture difference is the big, you have Kevin Love who grew up as a beach boy of sorts and has said his favorite place in the US is Park City, I can see that being hard to mesh with guys who are from inner cities and especially if they do not want to get along with you.

I do think Kevin Love is unhappy and that his teammates are unhappy with him...but the rebound and Jeff Green thing are both really shameless reaches by the media. The Jeff Green one especially.

He's starting and he didn't want to go through the regular starters' presentation where he goes and gets greeted by teammates. Just stayed to the side in the dark.

edit: Boston fans on reddit are saying he was doing the same thing in Boston and that it's just "his thing"
