Think the best case scenario for Mikal would be LeBron staying in Cleveland and Cleveland taking him in the draft. He'd fit in so well, exactly what they need.

Best case scenario would be Philly, imo. Although there are little places where he wouldn't fit in well. Every team that does not look to get a primary on-ball players would be blessed to have him.

Philly would be great too, but I don't think they'll be in the range where they can grab Bridges. I expect them to either make the Playoffs or barely lose out.

They get the Lakers pick which is looking top 10.

Starters: Simmons, Covington, Bridges, Saric, Embiid
6th Man: Fultz

Looks like a new era version of GSW/CLE/HOU.

I think the Jazz are interested if they pick in the late lottery. If Thabo Sefalosha had a better jump shot and finishing at the rim, that player might be Mikal Bridges.

Will he end up at 2 or 3?

He can defend both positions, so it depends on your team. Given his rudimentary ball handling skills it's probably more likely that he ends up being the 3 unless the team that drafts him has a Point Forward type of player next to their PG. He certainly has the size to play the 3 and some small-ball 4 (where he would have to defend the ‘true‘ 3's in terms of size, which he can).

If Philly gets the Lakers pick they'd be in range to nab him for sure.

So watching him again tonight. This is only the second game I've seen of him thus far and it's hard to get much of a read after the first half, because they're blowing Georgetown out so bad he hasn't had to do anything on offense.

He's been spectacular on defense without even making any big plays though.

He's a lock to me to be a 16% or lower usage guy on offense and has some strength concerns that may limit his versatility defensively. Still really good on that end though.

Valuable supporting piece on a high level team which in most drafts is top 10 value, but guys with his offensive projection are almost always underdrafted as teams at the top are looking more for 1st and 2nd option guys.

I was pushing him and Hart last year, because they play both ends the right way with versatility and solid ability. And Bridges athletic ability stands out - though I'd still like to see him get physically stronger - like Hart has. If I'm a GM, Bridges is a player I target. Reminds me of Junior Bridgeman from way back in the day.

Am I the only one skeptical of his 6'7 measurement? He just doesn't look that tall on tape. When you compare him to Miles(also listed at 6'7), I feel like there's a difference between them.

I see him more as a SG right now. Not sure he can guard SFs in the NBA unless he's really 6'7 and gets more stronger.

I'd say he's a legit 6'7. Certainly in sneakers, 6'6 barefoot. Miles is probably a little taller, like 6'8. Also, Mikal seems to automatically be in a slight defensive crouch at all times and I think that makes him look a little shorter.

No, I've said the same thing about his height - even though I'm a big fan. I think he's closer to 6'6 in shoes. But with his athleticism and length, it's not much of a problem.

Now watching him for the 4th time. Not having a great game shooting, but still contributing. Maybe Danny Granger as a ceiling?

Healthy Danny Granger was a 20ppg scorer. That's too high of a ceiling.

I'm talking ceiling though. He winds up in the best possible situation, he works his ass off for years, he stays healthy. And then maybe he winds up like Granger.

Granger at New Mexico was the lead man, aggressive. But in the NBA he almost became that out of necessity and circumstances. Tbh, he probably would have been best as a 17 to 20ppg 2nd, or even 3rd option.

I think stylistically, they have a fair share of similarities.

How does his college game compares to Winslow?
