when we look back at lebron’s legacy, we just have to give credit to Paul Silas.

That is what I got too. He tried to play it off, but repeated that he liked for things to stay private.

As he rightfully should be. Kidd, like the bitch he is, only leaked it to save face.

Even small things to detach Giannis from the emotional immediate response to firing Kidd are going to be very helpful. It is clear that winning games is going to cure everything wrong here.

I believe Khris is smart enough to know how the fans will interpret his "head of the snake" comment. Being referred to as a snake is never a good thing. Just ask my boy Larry Harris.

It's not impossible for Kidd to get another chance to coach somewhere, but no GM in the league is going to forget what he pulled in Brooklyn. Only a stupid team with a puppet general manager would target him at this point.

We all saw the disfunction last summer during the GM debacle, I'm not sure this group can stay together moving forward, have a feeling we are going to hear stories about a possible split moving forward, not sure who I'd actually want to stay.

I don't think Dinan was ever so visible, right?

Lasry is the one who seems to have faded into the background as Edens pushed through Horst and via Horst Kidds' ouster.

Not sure how many years we have to go before Lasry takes the top spot over Edens but it does not seem like Edens is as into the original plans for LED to come to consensus on major moves.

If LeBron spent his youth hawking sunglasses to tourists instead of playing AAU ball, that is.

Internal personal drive is what transforms players from good to great. You've heard the stories about Giannis - Late nights in the gym, the coaches actually telling him to practice LESS because of the toll it was taking on his body.

Kidd might've done some small part in putting the Bucks "On the map" but as evidenced by the cluelessness in the national media over the last few days, they clearly aren't on any kind of actual map of NBA knowledge (You don't get that until you actually win).

If Kidd made Giannis into Giannis, why couldn't he get any of the other young players they drafted in the last 4 years to actually improve?

For the very reason you cite: personal drive. The player has to want it. But conversely, if late nights in the gym were sufficient to turn a player into an All-Star, the gym would be a far more popular place after dark than it is.

The contortions people are willing to go through to explain away the fact that Giannis developed under Kidd would surprise me if I hadn't seen years of anti-Kidd invective here.

You could swap Kidd for literally any other head coach in the league and Giannis would've become just as good or better. Most coaches would have him better considering they wouldn't have him playing in a clown show of a defensive scheme and wouldn't create a mental block with his jumpshot telling him not to shoot for a year.

Giannis went from skinny kinda weak kid to freakiest athlete in the league, and refined his ball skills to the point where he could handle an offensive centerpiece role. Sweeney and Suki >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kidd in Giannis' development.

Yup, worked twice as hard as the average guy in HS alone.
