At this point the Wizards could trade both Wall and Beal. They are nice young man and they probably have solid careers wherever they go.
But I know they're not the real problem.

They are part of the real problem. Neither are leaders and both mail it in on the defensive end. Both allow way too much dribble penetration and are turnover machines on the offensive end.
They may not be the only problem, but there are definitely part of the problem.
I agree.
The Wizards need a veteran with the temperament of the player Sam Cassell. They need someone like Ty Lue who has the gall to tell Lebron to STFU. Wall and Beal need to hear it when they allow dribble penetration and/or take plays off. They also need to be kindly reminded not to go into hero mode in crunch time. ALWAYS make the best play when possible. Play smart. Move the ball. Get the best looks. Play sound, fundamental ball AT BOTH ENDS.
Now that they've made the AS game, perhaps they'll be less shot happy and can use their energy competing at both ends of the court.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
