It’s funny that people think Kemba Walker will make this team better enough to ruin a draft slot.

Forget Kemba Walker, I don’t even think LeBron James can make this team better than 5 wins at most.

Suns will still have the same chance at a top 5 pick with Kemba than without because this team is just that bad.

Considering the difference between our current #5 pick and the #9 pick right now is 1 game, and one of the major reasons we're so bad is that we are starting literally the worst point guard in the league... yeah you can literally guarantee replacing Ulis takes us out of the top 5.

Yeah, a little overreacting going on. But we were expected to have the worst record or close to it this season. And that was before we traded Bledsoe.

But yeah, when your best player is a 21 year old and most of the rest of your hopeful future core is younger than that, you're gonna struggle.

I wouldn't mind that. We'll happily take him. Dude's gonna be a stud.

Seen a lot of (generally) "we should hire Triano for the climb" both here and BSOTS.

I don't get the sentiment...at all (tonight's game, just a data point)

sell me, tell me that "Triano is the guy"

again..I don't get it

Can we get Sabonis for him? The Pacers would laugh really hard.

It is crazy the difference between them.

Ight ya'll take your meds. If JJ and Bender continue to progress like they have since the beginning of the year and we get a top 5-7 pick we will be in good shape.

At least Josh continued to play hard and finished strong. Glad they didn’t just lay down and take it in the 4th quarter.

Terrible game. Our passes are slow and predictable. They were jumping the passing lane all night and we never adjusted. Would have liked to see Booker continue to try and get to the hole instead of cross court passes for a TO. Bender with a very lackluster game. Monroe's offense was good tonight but the defense.....

Josh Jackson was almost the lone highlight. Very encouraged with his continual development. I would like to see him get more minutes and give him the ball. He seems to be able to get to the rim at will and he's starting to finish better at the rim.

I don't mind the losses usually because we tend to play hard still but the starting unit did not tonight and it absolutely showed. Indy hustled tonight and we didn't, plain and simple. When Dudley shows more hustle out there than 20 year old kids there's a problem.

These are exactly the kind of losses we need to avoid. We got out hustled, out muscled, out shot, and out defended. Literally nothing went our way until that run at the end of the game. Booker struggled, Warren struggled, Bender was soft as tissue. Jackson was the only core player that came to play today, and we'll never win a game this year when that's the case.

This team is going to suck as long as our point guard rotation is the worst in the league. We go into every game with an immediate disadvantage on both ends. Ulis has been absolutely awful this year, and while Canaan has been better he's far from being a starting point guard on a decent team. I don't care if it's done by draft, trade, free agency, or Booker at the point next year; we can not have Tyler Ulis starting next season. If we continue it this season for "stealth tanking" then whatever, but he's been so bad that it's almost crazy he's still starting.

Quese can't come back to the starting lineup soon enough, which feels weird to say. I don't know if it's because he's usually up against bench players, the second unit just moves the ball and fits him better, or what ever else could be going on, but Bender has been very bad since taking the starting spot. He still plays decent defense at times and he'll get a few assists finding TJ cutting off screens in the offense, but he's been incredibly soft with the ball on offense and his shot isn't falling at all. Pretty disappointing, I was hoping he'd start putting it together with this opportunity but it's basically gone the other way. Still far too soon to give up on him though, plus the last game against the Pacers may have been even worse lol.

Jackson was a boost tonight though, can't imagine how bleak things would be here if every single young player played terrible lol. Definitely can tell he's working on his outside shooting and free throws even if it hasn't been consistent. Really encouraged by how well he's getting into the paint despite being pretty weak and needing to tighten up his handles too.

I'm not panicking though, we've had terrible games to close out every road trip this season. It'll only be up from here next year, hopefully starting with replacing the worst starting point guard in the league and our ancient center that plays defense once every 5 games.

Really liking Josh Jackson this month.

Jackson (per 30 in January): 17 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists on 51/34/70
Pippen (per 30 in first all-star season): 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists on 51/25/57

I mean his rookie year Scottie averaged 8/3.8/2 on 46/17/58 when he was 22, not exactly greatness from day 1. Still too soon to say what JJ will be, Scottie would be the dream ceiling though.

SF position seems to be one where players can continually improve.

Examples - Iguodala, Butler, George, Leonard weren't glamour picks but had athleticism, work ethic and workable shot.
