I doubt SVG trades Avery for a late first but I can see him trading for a guy that can help at SF of PG. Avery needs to go.

Blow the team up. By December or Jan, is a good indicator of where this team is at, as in previous seasons as well.

Maybe actually properly tank a season and at least forge a hope that we CAN get a high enough draft pick, instead of always picking the 8th and up all the time. That's kind of why we're in this mess to begin with, none of our 8th (and up) picks never panned out completely to that hype.

But minimum, SVG and his FO has to go. Something isn't working, and it's time to put the Coach + President experiment to bed. It's not working.

I completely agree.

Kennard looks solid though, but cant expect a talent of Mitchell/Kennards level to be around at the end of the lottery again. Last years draft was the deepest in years. This years draft isnt going to produce guys like Kuzma/OG/Mitchell/Kennard/Bell in he later picks but at the top its actually going to be stronger. Obv last years draft had a pretty good top end as well but its shaping to be a better top end this season. Were looking at a really good top 7-10 guys we need to move up as much as possible and try to get a all star.

I'm ready for a rebuild but I'm still keeping Drummond. I did not just sit and watch this guy for six years play with so many flaws to finally putting it together and still only 24. Just stay on this path hope to hit a home run in the top 10 of a pretty good draft

Also definitely try to package Harris and Bradley for a good pick

Stan saying he had no one to go to offensively...hmmm who’s fault could that be?

Tobias Harris is a sort of Josh Howard. When it matters he disappear.

Sell high on him.

I'd like to read something from the optimistic users who used to mock about board wanting trades early in the season...

It's all his fault, his go to guy offensively was on the other team because his garbage draft strategy is "just add shooting"
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Does Dre want to rebuild and be on a **** team for another 2+ years? I think he'd ask for a trade and if kept would surely leave when he hit UFA.

A better read would be the users who claimed Reggie Jackson to be the 2nd coming of satan and a cancer to this team.

You guys can carry on about tanking til you're blue in the face. You're wasting your breath. It's not going to happen. Stan won't do it.

But don't be sad. At this rate, you'll end up with the same result anyway.

No you wouldn't. You just want to lord it around like your clairvoyance told you the team was going to suffer a rash of injuries that ruined their very good start. If only we had made trades for players who wouldn't be injured? I'll have to grant you that would have been a good plan.

it was a fluke due to unsustainable hot shooting.

this team is a 37 to 45 w team. nothing more.

people around here are delusional if they think that other teams scouting wouldn't have neutralized Pistons' DHO offense.

That would be one theory, although it seems equally rational that our reduced roster makes it easier to address our remaining scorers. It's easy to note that Ish or SJ are invited to shoot, much good may that do. I'm just a simple country boy, and will leave evaluating other posters as being delusional (or imbecilic in another case) to the more qualified members.

Valancuinas is destroying Gobert tonight. Pump the breaks on the Dre domination - Gobert might not be near 100% yet.
