If Booker and Warren get shut down we're a 10 win team if that.
Be really handy to find a 3rd guy this draft.

That is an insane comparison. All time great. Big scottie pipped fan here. Bulls don't win s#!t without him.
I mean his rookie year Scottie averaged 8/3.8/2 on 46/17/58 when he was 22, not exactly greatness from day 1. Still too soon to say what JJ will be, Scottie would be the dream ceiling though.
That'd be some dream. A SF that could do it all.
One of the best defenders of all time, a defensive terror.
A fast break, high flyer.
Point forward at 6"9, with good handles.
Unselfish, could've scored a lot more.
Leadership.
Clutch.
Willing to play second fiddle, even though he could've been the top dog anywhere else. Although he did want out in 95, when they weren't the best team in the league. Nobodies perfect.
He wasn't an absolute world beater from the start, but in year 3, baller. If we got something similar out of Jackson, that'd be insane.

Yup Scottie was definitely one of the greats, but the reality is that's we need JJ to be if this team is ever going to come together and contend for championships. I personally believe in him developing more than Quese or Bender though. He has the mentality, aggressiveness, motor, and competitiveness that Quese and Bender seem to be lacking sometimes, and that's a big part of becoming a star player.

He has the highest upside of the three, with chriss being a bust, if my nose is picking up the scent correctly.

Kawhi Leonard is closest to Pippen... physically and defensively.
Pippen is 6'8 with 7'3 wingspan and a body built for fighting. Kawhi 6'7 7'3 wingspan also with a body built for fighting.
Pippen is my all time favorite player, next to Admiral and Barkley... and as much as I want JJ to become Pippen v2.0... he will likely not be there. Lebron James is Pippen on steroids (literally lol), in regards to overall team play and role on a team.. but Pippen was better defensively IMO... and much more likeable.
JJ is hopefully... Iguadala v2.0...

Pippen was better than kawhi. I think Kawhi, if he leaves s.a., will realize what that system and surroundings has done to the perception of how good he really is. Similar to if curry or green leave that team over there. The only original warrior who would do equally as well on another team is klay, his game translates to any team.

The pathetic defense and predictable offense is as much to blame on Triano guys.... I just dont like him as main coach going forward... as an assistant?... fine.
I want a coach that players are scared to ignore and someone is powerful in presence that his players bust their guts both sides every game.

And anyone else really done with Ulis??
The guy is 5'9... supposedly someone with that height should be the quickest player, best dribbler and someone who is very hard to keep in front...
But EVERY game... he dribbles the ball slowly from inbounds... then gives the ball to the next player.... I can do that.... I can literally dribble over the half court then give the ball up.... maybe get it stolen 10 times but the point is.. the 11th time I can do that play.
For someone so SMALL.... he is so SLOW, relatively speaking. For someone that small... he is so basic and simple.... so easy to guard so easy to play against. He is USELESS.... sorry but thats what I see... he is utterly USELESS so far this season. He doesnt scare anyone... because he is tiny and he doesnt use his skills or speed.... USELESS.

We are giving Ulis every opportunity so that when we dump him Booker will understand.

You realize you're writing off a mobile, 3pt shooting 7'1 player at 20 years of age? Big men really reach their prime/peak when they're 27-28 years old. Still a long way until Bender reaches his.

Was going to say that. And Chandler was also terrible in this game. Can't even blame Book and TJ for playing bad when they have to play 2 vs 5.
What Ulis does good exactly? A player so small must have some elite skills to justify him playing in the NBA. He isn't athletic, can't shoot, isn't elite playmaker. He shouldn't be even bench player.
Well, at least he was 2dn round pick. I'm more worried about Bender. With Chriss injury he got the opportunity and plays terrible. I'm waiting until his 3rd season but for now he looks like a epic bust

But that's the thing, back then, the world was different to. People didn't mad if their favorite app on their phone took 5 seconds to load, or your laptop took 2 minutes to boot up.
Now, if a team's Rookie isn't getting All-Star Votes by game 44 in the league, they are gonna suck and it was a wasted pick. Even this season their are examples of players who were poo-poo last season, and are playing much better this season...or guys that took 2 seasons to get it.
Difference though, which you and I disagree on, is which is the best opportunity to take this team to the next level. But whatever. So long as everyone recognizes that these guys--Chriss, Bender, and JJ--are going to have a more difficult time developing until we get our leadership on and off the court completely settled and in place. I also think that if it ends up being Trae Young or Doncic, it's going to be even longer, because for as good as they are, one cannot replace NBA experience.

Yes, that is rampant on this board; JJ sucks half the time too...depending on which game you just watched. Same with Bender/Chriss.
There's never a guarantee, but my goodness, he played less than 1/2 a season, and this season, he is still only starting when Chriss is out, and still not getting a tone of minutes. It would be nice to wait until he's been given a chance on an NBA team with a half-way decent Caoch and PG.

If we were confident on either Bender or Chriss we probably don't bother trading to get both, in hindsight that seems like a telltale sign. We aren't going to draft 2 PGs if we get Trae Young.

That's a major issue though. Let's say he only takes til 26 to reach an age where he can start on a good team. You'd have to put 7 years into a guy who's just going to be a fairly good player. 7 years of toiling, giving away minutes, mistake after mistake, dropping games.....that's too long. Even if he's a decent 6th man 2 years prior, that's still 4-5 years to get to that point. HUGE investment. I just don't like high draft pick projects, they're typically high risk, moderate reward at best.
That being said (in general), I do think Bender has some skills, I just don't know if he'll put it together.
