I would like Santana a lot more if he was in LF than RF. I know he has a cannon, but in reality I felt like his throws were rarely on target and his loafing didn't get him to the ball quick enough anyway. Basically, it never made sense to me to have him in RF.

Yeah, twirly was right about the Braun stuff. If we had a shot to move him to the Dodgers prior to last year we should've made it work. We're stuck with him now.

We didn't have a choice if you wanted him and Braun in the lineup at the same time.

I never get why people get so fired up when we give up prospects for proven guys. I always thought Brinson is overrated. He will be good but not great.

Remember LaPorta? A lot of people we mad he was part of the CC deal and he amounted to nothing. Prospect are called prospects for a reason. Not many turn out to be much in the MLB.

Santana, Phillips and Ortiz for Archer and maybe something else. It's coming, just wait.

Scary thing is that we could still trade for Archer and sign Darvish too! Then lookout for a fun year.

I am a little surprised at the negativity, love the Yelich move, he's on the verge of being a legit superstar, his road splits are off the charts, now he's in a band box. I don't care about prospects, Brinson and Diaz weren't even here before Stearns arrived, he and his team rebuilt the farm system in 1.5 years, they will do it again if needed.

I'm concerned about the Cain deal, length and $, but I'm hoping it is heavily front loaded since they are not paying anyone right now.

Santana has holes in his swing and he has shown the ability to loaf, the 30 HR's is nice, but again, he's playing in a band box. I would much sooner deal Santana than Phillips, depending on quality of pitcher that could happen. Unfortunately I think Braun is untradeable, wouldn't be opposed to moving Thames and putting Braun at first, that way can give him days off with Aguiar

So, no thought of Santana at 1B? Dont know where I saw that proposed last year as a move into 2018, but doesn't seem like an option or consideration at this point.

Trade for Yelich

Sign Lo Cain

Trade Domingo for a couple top 100 guys

Sign Arrieta or Yu if you really wanna go for it.

Sign Oh to a 1 year deal

Best way to keep prospects and vastly improve the team overall

2/2 so far lol

I agree. I think we still get Archer for Domingo and others. And we still have a shot at Darvish.

Brewers making big moves, Kidd getting fired, new GM and DC for the Packers. My head is spinning.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think there is a chance that Stearns nails this Yelich trade. He has been good but not elite because of the Marlins park. If you take his career road splits for his career 248 road games and equate them over a 156 game season (that's what he played in 2017) you would have a .300avg .373 OBP 123 runs 25 HRs 113 RBI and 24 SBs. That's basically MVP Ryan Braun production.

I hope when the terms of Cain's contract comes out, it is front-loaded somewhat given our low payroll in the present or at the very least static vs starting under 16 million this year and getting bigger as each season goes by to where he's getting paid 20 million or more in year five.

I think we tried fairly hard. Should’ve gotten it done in hindsight, but I think the Dodgers backed out in the final hour.

Regardless, it does suck.

After tonight I half expect them to put a deal together for Archer and sign Darvish too. It's not any less bold/crazy as what they just did getting Yelich and Cain.
