I wouldn't mind him as much if there was a way to mute him when watching T-Wolves game. I can't imagine what playing for him is like.

I think OP is reaching, the fact that he plays his starters extended minutes isn't grounds for firing someone.
He's determined to end the Wolves playoff drought and doesn't have a strong bench.

I can't stand the yelling for 48 mins. I get he has a lot of young players but it's the NBA, not college. Surprised some player hasn't looked at him and yelled back "STFU!"

OP is wild but for Noah, Deng, AND Rose to be washed up and barely worth minutes at 32 or younger is crazy. We're in an era where careers are being extended.

Re: Tom Thibodeau, coach of death.
his defensive genius died a long time ago. his offense sucks, his overuse of players should be shut down by the league.
IMO players are gonna hate working for this dude.

Doc Rivers is even worse.
-Blake Griffin has constantly been inured.
-Chris Paul left him.
-Rondo went from superstar to questionable starter.
-KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce aren't even in the league anymore.

It was pretty common, and probably not too big of a deal in play off, but during regular season? There is a reason why most of teams, especially the ones more scientific and analyistic, stopped doing that.

To be fair, it looks like the OP is talking about Chicago Thibs. He isn't wrong about that. Thibs did run his starters to the ground in Chicago.

Re: Tom Thibodeau, coach of death.
I still blame the D-Rose ACL tear on him. No reason your franchise player should still be in late in the fourth when the playoff game is in the bag. Would the subsequent breakdown still happen? Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes I feel like everything happens for a reason, sometimes I'm not so sure

Wow, didn't realize Loul is only 32! Noah and D-Rose had injuries that derailed their trajectories, but isn't Loul healthy?

Re: Tom Thibodeau, coach of death.
For me, it's not about how much he plays his players, it's about his choices of who plays and when. For example, the other night against the Raptors I think, Jeff Teague went something like 1-9 in the first half and ended up going 2-11 the whole game and he was the one playing down the stretch when the game was close even though Tyus was having a huge impact on the game and just made some crucial plays. It seems like Thibs always takes players out when they get hot and never play deserving players enough. Tyus should be starting. Anyone who watches Timberwolves games should agree with me. But Thibs continues to load Teague with minutes even though he doesn't have as much of a positive impact on the game.

I think that what derailed his career was the botched spinal tap.

Re: Tom Thibodeau, coach of death.
Thibs is actually a very good coach. If players buy in.
Deng was an all-star UNDER Thibs
Rose was an MVP UNDER Thibs
Noah was DPOY UNDER Thibs
Butler was an all-star UNDER Thibs
Yea they all worked hard, but Noah when drafted prior to Thibs, everybody hated him. Bulls fans booed him. Deng was an underperformer before Thibs.
He's a good coach, but he is someone that needs a good staff. He isn't a transformational coach or anything that we expected but in a league full of average coaches, he is above average.
