In order to take the first step in recovery, it is necessary for the individual to be humble enough to admit that they need help... You're on you're way.

That's not how things work. If you're more qualified than another person, it's only right that you get picked over them. It's like that in the real world and sports

I've said this many times before, and i will say it again. The NBA is not a developmental league. These coaches are trying to win games and keep their jobs, they don't have time to hold the hands of someone who is inexperienced. It's easy for us fans to say "Tank". But in reality, these players and coaches are trying to win. And if you're not contributing to that, then you won't see the floor. Simple as that.

everyone thinks its 2k and theres no repercussions from tanking on purpose. FO, coaches, players dont tank. its not a real option. nobody wants to come play for a team that would want to play that way. including rookies. fans wont want to buy tickets for teams that lose on purpose and so on and so on. its a stupid ass notion that this board doesnt understand.

How are the Suns or Sacramento managing then?

im not sure your question. dare you saying theyre throwing games on purpose ?
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

That is an awesome comeback by Kanter.

Dudley is such a clown. Like he should expect Booker to catch it a little after he pushed THJr in the back, in mid air.

No, I'm saying they've been in the low loss totals for a few years now and up higher in the draft. Yet their fanbases didn't implode and even Sactown signed a few FA's because they had cap room (Granted it was Zach looking for a last payday and someone dumb enough to give it)

You know what - I'll compromise. Knicks have a real opportunity coming up at the deadline and offseason to move no future vets who maintain the treadmill and turn the roster over to youth and pick up assets. Let's see if they are interested. I mean, signing THJr was probably the first sign they figured they could make a little noise this year. I thought maybe they were looking to sew up SG on a value guy if his upside pans, but history tells me I should always be suspicious of the Knicks when it comes to knowing how to rebuild or even if they are truly interested in it.

11th pick the last 10 years and players available in the 10-15 range:

2017- Malik Monk- Donovan Mitchell #13
2016- Demontas Sabonis
2015- Myles Turner- Devon Booker #13
2014- Doug McDermott- Elfrid Peyton #10 Dario Saric and Zach Levine #12 and #13
2013- Michael Carter Williams- CJ McCullum #10, Steven Adams #12, Greek Freak #15
2012- Myers Leonard
2011- Klay Thompson- Kawhi Leonard #15
2010- Cole Aldrich- Paul George #10
2009- Terrance Williams
2008- Jarryd Bayless- Brook Lopez #10

You can find high end talent more times than not in the late lottery. This will be another deep draft where quality players will be available. This team doesn't need to tank.

I know this. Everyone knows this. But there is more of a chance of better talent higher up. There just is.

Have the Knicks drafted that adeptly lately? Not terrible, but last I checked, they weren't killing it with picks. I guess we have to hope that this is truly a different front office and one of those that gets players like Mitchell (whoops), Levine, Thompson, Leonard, Freek or George at 10

Some of those other names aren't that compelling. Ok - Booker.

Of course it is about having a competent front office and scouting team making good decisions but I will give Perry the benefit of the doubt until he messes up. So far this front office has brought in quality players on good deals. At least we don't have Phil feeding rookies raw meats anymore.....
