Isn’t that usually a jinx when one says this.

Re: Devin Booker
In Steve Nash's prime years he had 50/40/90% shooting percentages (FG%/3PT%/FT%).Damkac wrote:In the last 7 games Booker is perfect 44-44 from the line. 0.938 FT in januray.
I do believe, when surround by the same level of talent that Nash played with in Phoenix, that Devin can eventually become an elite shooter as well.

Re: Devin Booker
Booker hand injury?
Booker has made just 11 of 42 shots his last three games, and he’s had ice on his right hand after games and shootarounds. In addition, during pregame introductions Friday, he high-fived teammates with his left hand.
Interim coach Jay Triano, using a hockey term, only would say Booker has an “upper-body injury.”
Booker said the hand isn’t an issue.
“No,” he said. “Just missing shots. That time of year.”

Shooting 41% over that span too. Barely over 40% in January. His fg% has dropped each month, but a pretty steep drop in January, though his % of 3s out of total shots has gone up...but under 37% in January on those.

He looks like he is injured. He looks like he is in pain and laboring through games. Can't remember the side but he seemed to favor his ribcage after a fall yesterday.

Who knows. He might even learn to defend as well as Steve too.

I think its the All-Star game thing. And the fact that he was penalized for how bad his team is when it is harder to carry a team like this and be the focus of opposing defenses every night.

I think he was more penalized because there were more deserving candidates. He's looked uninterested in the past and has always sulked/whined.

He better not play against the Grizz and the Mavs if he is even feeling slight discomfort.

Re: Devin Booker
Mike Schmitz and ESPN did a piece on Booker's development into nearly being an All Star. Really good read.

Now, All-NBA is what is for real impressive. How many of those has Phnx had ?

I've learned on the forums that there are like 50-75 "all star caliber" players, especially after reading that about Bledsoe repeatedly.
He may end up being one of our youngest all stars ever though if he can get in next year. KJ and Amare both made it in their 3rd years, though they were 23 and 22 respectively.
Alvan Adams made it as a rookie when 21. Walter Davis his first four years (though 23-26).

Re: Devin Booker
What would Booker assists total be with Paul or Durant or Klay or Beal or McCollum taking those shots he passes to Canaan and TJ and JJ and Chris and Bender.....?
He sets up others often enough at 21 in his 3rd year, he just plays for Phoenix. Can’t wait until we get Trae and JJ explodes as will the bandwagon...in a good way

I don't think he is disinterested, "pissed off" whiney of sulking. He might be frustrated; he does carry this team and too often he has no help besides Warren. Booker is basically beat up and he often gets no protection from the physical play from the officials. Opposing teams run him through pick after pick on defense with the idea of inflicting physical punishment and wearing him down. He is getting physically abused by opposing defenses with their double and sometimes triple teams, because opposing teams know the Suns have little or no opportunity to win if they can take him out of his game. Years ago, an enforcer like Mo Lucas would have offered some protection, but now and with the make up of this team ...
