Scored 10 points in the final 6 minutes. Lots of long range 2 point makes. Drives to the baskets. Even knocked down a couple clutch free throws. It was a really quiet 25. With that said, looking back at the game and remembering different parts, you realize just how good he was.

He also had some really nice passes in transition and got a lot of 50/50 rebounds that lead to transition points.

This is what scares me when it comes to Ingram, his game remind me a lot of derozan, who I didn’t like much till this year now that he’s added somewhat of a three to his game. Long twos are not good shots. Its also concerning that Ingram has a very ugly three which looks like a push shot. Add that with slow decision making and ball stopping, I really hope he doesn’t turn into a derozan

I was not aware that Cousins' career had ended.

It may well have....for all intents and purposes. A typical guy might recover pretty well from a torn achilles, but a 270 pound athlete? I would not count those eggs. Yeah.....he'll take the floor again next season. But who knows what that will look like.

Very few players recover well from an Achilles tear, period. About the only thing he has going for him is that he's still relatively young. Otherwise, it doesn't look good:

Players who rupture their Achilles don’t have a strong history of returning to full strength. A 2013 research paper published in The American Journal of Sports Medicine found that of 18 NBA players who ruptured their Achilles over 23 seasons, only eight returned to play for longer than one season.

A player of Cousins’s caliber is naturally likely to return to the court, but those that do make it back onto the court have mixed results. Players like Elton Brand and Wes Matthews were never the same after returning. Isiah Thomas suffered a ruptured Achilles at age 32, then retired. Dominique Wilkins also had the same injury at age 32, then played until he was 39 and was named to two more All-NBA teams.

Interestingly, the study found that 29 years old was the average age a player ruptured their Achilles. Cousins is 27. Nonetheless, the study found that 17 of the 18 players saw their minutes decrease after returning. While the sample size for football is small, NFL players have seen a similar decline in both opportunity and production.

Every player has his own story, but history proves worrisome.

Doubt if Cousins will ever be the same again. For a big fella playing basketball.....this type of injury will be tough to overcome.

Exactly....it's the "270 pound center" part of the equation that makes me seriously doubt.

He'll come back....he'll "look good" and get some sort of decent contract, but I think whoever signs him will almost immediately regret it. Hopefully it's not us.

It sucks....I got nothin against the guy. But at the same time....the guy has earned at least $100-mil in the NBA...so I'll save my tears for the many sadder stories in this world.
