I was really hoping we could land Oubre somehow, but he's broken out in the last few weeks. Off limits now imo.

He's still a sub 15 per player who can't really make much happen off the dribble. His upside is a good 3&D player (although I don't like his defense vs big 3s). I think it's too early in the rebuild to overpaying for those kind of role players.

You could say the same about a highly coveted future top 10 pick in Mikal Bridges as well though, or a bunch of other highly regarded wings in todays game. I think the reality is that 3/D forwards are a premium in todays league.
His play's really picked up, he's averaging 13ppg on 66 TS% this month, in 26mpg, and obviously playing as a complimentary offensive option behind Beal, Wall, Porter, etc.
At this rate, I think the Wiz are going to keep him and try to pay him big, even if it means moving a considerable name or two.
I would love to have him on this team.

Yeah but Bridges is longer i.e. Has a better chance vs the dominant huge SFs and will be cheap for 4 years. Oubre is going to get Crabbe money after next season and the Bulls can't afford to dole out that kind of money to a role player right now IMO.

Oubre's got a 7'1.5" wingspan, actually longer than Bridges, at the same height. I think they'll both be able to defend big SF's/some PF's fine.
I understand the hesitation when it comes to paying up, but at 22, I think he's got enough upside there to justify it. Certainly from a pure value standpoint he's exceptional value for Mirotic plus some, even if it means taking back Mahnimi.

Again standing reach is much more important than wingspan and judging by appearances Bridges is much longer. Oubre looks like a big SG. Maybe I'm wrong but in any case, I don't want to pay Oubre what he'll want. You don't start building a championship team by giving out huge contracts to role players.
I don't see much upside with Oubre. He can't put the ball on the floor and create and he's not a Klay level shooter. I think he's going to look really overpaid on his next contract.

If they're the same height but one has a longer wingspan, I'm not sure how Bridges ends up with a better standing reach.
He's developing at a pretty strong rate, personally I'd be hesitant to put a ceiling on him. Likely a 3rd/4th starter, which is still very valuable, but I think there's room for him to develop a more advanced offensive game as well.

Well who knows about college measurements. Also long necks and or broad shoulders can throw off wingspan:height:standing reach ratios.
Anyway the guy I really really want is Ingram. But don't see the Lakers trading him except maybe in the summer if they have some big names wanting to sign there.

Lopez, Holiday and Grant for Cousins.
We get Cousins Bird rights. If he is recovered and going to stay, we have our center. if he leaves or doesn't recover well, we have 20M cap in hands to use.
They want Mirotic instead of RoLo, have him. It would be liking trading Niko for a upgraded draft pick and we would still have Cousins rights.
Note: he will take 6 to 10 months to recover. That means, he wont be health when free agency starts. Its going to be interesting to see if a team will offer him full max since he is injured.
I don't see NO moving Cousins. They need him to contend with this current team, and despite the injury it's a worthwhile gamble for them. I don't think Lopez, Holiday, or Grant moves the needle much for them.
However, I have heard that they will be aggressive in adding talent via trade. Maybe we could send them Niko for a 1st round pick + Asik? We could maybe throw Holiday in there too, but they would have to add some more salary to make it match.
I was kind of .. joking
kind because.. you throw the idea, maybe they bite.
If they were unsure if they would resign him or if he would want to come back ... maybe they would want to get something out of it.
I threw the "joke" after i read something similar (but much worse) on a lakers forum lol
Call 911, the tank is dying alive, tank you very much

This sounds crazy, but...
RoLo, Niko, Grant for Love, Rose and BKN pick.
Rids them of 2 problem guys. I think Love is good, but he seems to be a problem and his contract sucks. Niko can help them win now, and, if needed, next year, but his contract is perfect for a team in flux. Also, Robin would be great on Cavs.
Rose can retire a Bull. He can mentor Dunn in the ways of being a high character NBA player and Zach on how to stay healthy (green font).

Oubre's the real deal. Everytime I see him play now, he's doing wonderful things on the court.

"There have been rumblings the Kings might dump Labissiere to free up a roster spot so they absorb extra contracts from Cleveland in the percolating George Hill deal. If that's true, a smart team will buy low on Labissiere."

Get me in on Skal! Surely a bunch of teams will try to pick him up.

Labissiere is available? What on Earth are Kings doing. That guy is talented and on cheap deal. Want him.

Its the Kings, anything is possible. Any case, him and WCS could be buy low targets.

Teams are trying to copy GSW. A copy of something is never as good as the original and I think the Bulls are on to something when they have 3 bigs who can score from all parts of the court. They were really playing some nice ball during that time. The team then, was night and day compared to beginning of season and now. Let's improve on that style, diffuse the Bobby/Niko issue, and play Bigman Hoiball please!
Bulls
Robin Lopez
Zach Lavine
Bobby Portis
Jerian Grant
Orlando
Nikola Vucevic
Shelvin Mack
Mario Hezonja
Bulls
Dunn, Mack, Blakeney
Doncic, Holiday, Nwaba
Valentine, Hezonja
Markanen, Mirotic
Vucevic, Markenen, Felicio
-I don't think Lavine has TWTW and ball will stick in his hands. Let him run with Aaron Gordon and create Top 10's of the week. Thanks.

I sat behind the Bucks bench today and was shocked at how disinterested/disengaged Jabari was. He was on the very end of the bench, never clapped, never stood up, hardly talked to anyone and left after the third quarter. Wonder if that means anything and if he’s thinking he might be on the trade block?
