PS - do we consider this the trade deadline thread or is there a new one?

CAroll for Avery Bradley and STanely Johnson. We lose a gritty veteran but get 2 defensive studs in return.

Depends if the Clippers want to go full tank or try to compete. You'd think Harris and Bradley would be part of the deal. If they want to tank, Harris for expiring and picks or youth could be on the table.

Thinking the same about a Clippers fire sale.

Maybe, but that team can still compete. Harris and Bradley are good players.

If they go full rebuild, we need to get Harris.

if clippers willing to take on contact of Mozgov, i'd send them some of our young talent along with 2nd rounder for Deandre.

They could easily flip Avery or Tobias if they need to

That trade is a game changer, it feels like people really sleep on Blake these days, he's a beast. Sure he's suspect on D and his rebounding numbers have taken a huge hit playing next to a vacuum cleaner, but he is the reason that team is afloat right now and not sitting with an Atlanta Hawks-like record.

This sort of sets the market for Kevin Love, right?

Don't really get this trade for the Clippers though, they won't be as good as they currently were, which is a treadmill team, but it won't make them bad enough to be a high lotto team either, Harris and Bradley are solid players. They should have expanded this to 3 or 4 teams and got some more draft pick/prospect value and exchanged Harris and Bradley for useless players who expire this summer or next.

If Detroit can find a way to get rid of Reggie Jackson and bring in a solid point guard they could cook.

If I'm SVG I'm seriously considering offering the Memphis Grizzlies Jackson and filler for Conley. You can wait on him, Jackson has been on the shelf anyway.

I wonder if there's a way to pry Harris out of there. Only under contract 1 more year after this one, but he'd be a really good stretch 4. Seems like Clippers are going to just go into firesale mode.

They're getting a pick right? I think they must be thinking that they will go full firesale and it will be easier to sell off the smaller pieces they got back without having to take back bloated salaries. Bradley and Harris should each return first round picks+. Who knows what they can get for Deandre. But I think this means they are tearing down as much as they can and getting as many young picks as possible.
