Dunn / LaVine / Parker / Markkanen / Bamba

That's our core for years with everyone in the 20 - 23 years of age, after only 1 year of rebuilding. Yeah I'd absolutely go for it if the opportunity is there, ACLs be damned.

But who knows where the Bucks are with Jabari. Unless they're not planning to re-sign him because of his injury concerns, he's probably untouchable given they're a team on an upswing. If I were Jabari, I'd treat this as my payday: go for the longest guaranteed contract I can get with the most $$$. Even though he's only 22, he won't get this chance again the next time he goes down.

That team would kick some serious a** nightly but 3 ACL injuries scares me pretty badly.

Chances are, it's going to happen again.

Has anyone ever torn 3 acls?

Jabari and Rose have 2 tears. Don’t remember anyone doing 3.

Technically Jabari tore the same ACL, just twice. Rose only tore the ACL one time. His second one was a meniscus.

You would figure we could have matched that deal. Could have been nice to partner Blake with Zach, in the east....you know, for at least the next 5yrs.

I wonder if this means Jordan to CLE now, killing a potential Niko deal.

We could've offered them Portis for Griffin and tried to sell them on the fact that when Portis punches people on the same team he at least breaks them instead of himself!

Jordan's probably going to go somewhere random like NO for players and picks, to take over for Boogie this season. Think of something way out of left field that only kind of makes sense and that's probably whats going to happen. I think LAC is going to make 3 or 4 more trades before all is said and done. It'll be a bloodbath over there.

Utah is selling this deadline so I think Niko is stuck on our team for at least another season now. I'm fine with that. Next season we will have Niko, RoLo, and Holiday as $31m in expiring contracts who all provide value to contenders (as bench guys) or teams looking to rebuild (as salary dumps). That combined with the fact that we control all our own draft picks, and have some young guys with potential should put us in a pretty good spot to trade for whatever superstar becomes disgruntled and wants out of their team.

I dont understand this deal for Detroit or LAC.. Pistons lost Bradley and Harris, two very good players.. just Blake, Andre
and Reggie J arent enough to compete on the East with Celts and LeBron.

I.Smith / Jackson guard duo - Bullock - Griffin - Drummond
Buycks - Kennard/ Galloway - Johnson - Toliver -- W.Reed

Is the gap between Valentine and Oubre so big that it costs us Niko/Grant + taking on Mahimi?

I'm not even sure Oubre is better at all. At least Val passes the ball....

If we put Jabari and Lavine on the same team, we're doomed to suck.

Why are you guys so infatuated with players who play losing basketball.

I don't want to dismiss Val's improvement, but:

1) Val really is undersized to play SF. Big SF's are really hurting us.
2) Oubre has a lot of upside potential.

Val may have value to keep as insurance against not bringing back Lavine.

Admittedly, Im not a big Oubre guy. People talk about his potential and upside and all I see is another chucker firing up 3's. I understand that in today's game being a decent volume 3pt shooter holds value, I do, but what else does he really bring to the table? And what's the best case scenario with him?

My point was not that Valentine is definitely a better player (he may/may not be) but that I wouldn't attach much more value in attempting to acquire Oubre.

Why would Cleveland do this? Love is the best player in the deal and give up the Brooklyn pick on top of that?. The only way Cleveland does it if bulls trade Lopez,Niko, Portis and Lavine, then maybe they think about it. But honestly with Lauri bulls shouldn’t even bother with love.

With the experience you guys have had with ACLs, I’m surprised many are wanting a core of Lavine and Parker.

For what it’s worth I watched a lot of Parker last year. Terrible defender. Bricks a lot of open 3s. Athleticism is his game, 2 ACL injuries to same knee. Looking for his first big pay day.

I would steer clear. Good luck if you get him tho.

dont ask me why. Maybe the dude who wrote the article is a bulls fan or overreacting on Love's situation. guess cause they want to ship Love badly. But doubt they want that bad.

Oubre is the natural 2 way sf this team needs going forward ... Another guy I'd like at sf going forward Is Rondae Hollis Jefferson . Im a Val fan but I see him as a third guard on a good team not really a sf at all .

With Love out 6-8 weeks, what's their thinking?

Thompson, Shumpert, and the Nets pick for Niko and Lopez?

Gives them some talent, once Love gets back anyway. Plus, it'd rid them of some albatross contracts.

Honestly, I don't even mind Thompsons money for 2019-2020. It becomes a nice trade facilitator for a big money star.

Anyway, I guess the risk on our end is what if the Nets get hot enough to take the pick outside the top 10?

So uhh...I know DET is kinda out of the running for Niko now but is everyone watching what "****, no offense, bust" Stanley Johnson is doing vs Cavs? 23/8 so far and playing really good D...

I think I’d trade Niko and Holiday for for the BKN first and take Shumpert and Thompson back. We have so little on our cap that we could still offer Capela a max deal if we wanted. (I know most don’t.) Or have room the next offseason for a max guy. Depending on other moves you could almost sign Capela next offseason and still have room for a max guy the offseason after that.
