They showed what their ceiling is in Boston under Stevens. Pretty much all non-great players need a good situation and neither guy is in one that plays to their strength.

Batum and Kaminsky (or Lamb) to the Kings for George Hill and Vincent Carter (expiring)
Does this give Kings incentive to make the deal and take on Batum who they could play at SF

Seriously doubt they do that after the Blake deal. They don’t need Batum with Tobias in place.
With Detroit making the big move, Milwaukee needs to do something to improve. Could Kaminsky go home and take Nic with him? I can only wish.

This deal would be with the Kings, Tobias got traded to the Clippers.

That being said, I wish we'd trade for Love now that he's injured. I'm sure a package of Marvin + MKG + a protected 1st for Love and filler would get it done. And, we could entice Kemba + Howard that we're serious about winning now and look at them as long term pieces. That package would open up Lamb to start and give more minutes to Monk as his backup. Batum would slide into the 3. It's becoming obvious Cleveland isn't going to resign Lebron.

Protected top 10 this year, top 5 next year, and unprotected in 2020. As for this year, tank while letting Monk learn on the job, grab one of the top 7 guys in this year's draft and go into next season full steam ahead.
This year
Kemba, MCW
Lamb, Monk
Batum, Graham
Frank, JOB
Dwight, Cody
Let Love heal completely for next season.
Then next year
Kemba, ?
Lamb, Monk
Batum, ?
Love, Frank
Dwight, Cody

I wouldn't. Our defense would be an abomination

It’s unlikely you will solve all issues with 1 trade. I’d do that trade as it’s an upgrade then look for defensive wings.
I wish we could find someone to bite on Batum but it looks like the front office has tried everything without much success.
A cheap player like Ennis would be handy on the wing. Start him alongside Lamb. He plays D, athletic, crashes the boards and can shoot the 3.
So next year you start Kemba, Lamb or Batum, defensive wing, Love, Dwight

Unsure of reliability. Want no part of that as stated. Also posted in Monk thread.
The one thing that makes me wonder ... Whiteside's salary roughly matches Batum.
