No no. It is important we make the playoffs! KP said so.

You're blowing this out of proportion. He wants to win like every other player.

If Hornacek is coaching ,NY won't make the playoffs, because he's attached his coaching career to Lance,Thomas ,Jarrett Jack,Courtney Lee,and Kyle O'Quinn. A new coach is needed .The Knicks aren't going to win by defense this year as they don't have the team for it .They have offensive players .Let other teams try to slow them down if they play to outscore them to win.

Again...you guys are misrepresenting facts. He is telling the media the FO needs to focus on the playoffs. Not simply...I want to win. This is B.S..

It's also the dumbest thing he's said in 3 years. It is also not his place to tell the GM how to run the team. If he wants to win...he should want the team to do WHATEVER is necessary to build sustainable successful team around him and not just a bad dash to a one-off playoff run....IF they even made it.

You guys can accept this but, I don't have to. I'm blowing it out of proportion? People aren't taking it for what it's worth IMO.

KP is even laughing about it. I think your taking what he said way too serious

Porzingis says he hasn't talked to management about its plans and doesn't particularly care to be involved in the process.

"I think they know I want to be in the playoffs and that's the only thing on my mind. I'm not going to go in there and be like no, we're tanking. There's no reason to play," Porzingis said with a laugh. "[Making the playoffs is] only thing I'm focused on. What I need to do on the court to play better, make my team win."

That's not what was posted. That's EXACTLY what I said he should say. So no....I'm not blowing anything up...I'm responding to what appears to be a misrepresentation of facts. The OP tweet said he thinks it's important the FO wants to make the playoffs. This is not that.

Would San Antonio part with Kawhi?

NY gets:
Kawhi Leonard

San Antonio gets:
Courtney Lee, Frank Ntilinka, Willy Hernangomez, 2018 1st rd pick

Alot on this trade would depend on where we draft, if we have something in the top 5 I keep the pick and don't do this trade but if we stay in the 10-13 range I would hope they offer San Antonio this. Hernangomez barely plays. Ntilinkina has show flashes of potential and Courtney Lee s our most trade able asset. But we can probably sign someone like Rajon Rondo and draft depth with our 2nd rounders and end up with a starting lineup of:

Kanter
Porzingis
Leonard
Hardaway
Rondo

Just so I have this straight, one of the most winningest franchises in the last 2 decades is willing to trade their BEST player in their prime to us for a 33 (might be off on Lee’s age) with 10+ mill owed to him over the next few years, a 19 year old rookie, a 2nd round pick who (despite me thinking he is solid) barely plays, and late lotto pick? There has to be something wrong that player to be traded for nothing proven except a super role player. The potential of something seriously wrong with Leonard and giving up our youth and future (23 and 19 year old, plus the pick) I don’t believe is worth it

So you actually think that the Knicks would accept that trade or any trade without putting the player coming our way through whatever tests with our doctors that are needed?? You put Kawhi on the Knicks with KP and it won't be any problem at all to get a 3rd star to want to come play with them......Kyrie please.

That is a championship contender, but San Antonio isn't rebuilding and Kawhi is a top 3 player in this league and is not going to be moved at that age or ever at all.

i need to write anthony an apology letter.

after the blake griffin thing, i think every player, especially if i was to hypothetically be in the NBA should have some sort of NTC.

as much as I'd never want to play in LA because of all of the weirdos, i would never want to go from playing there to playing where it's **** freezing all the time.

the only way spurs trade with knicks is if they're getting back porzingis. so we can rule anything like this out

Philly or Boston should go after Leonard tbh. We have 0 shot unless we trade KP.

Knicksfan20 wrote:Bradley off the market. Thunder fans/FO should be sweating. Huge whole at SG. Huge weakness for them with backup big man. Their backup PG is Raymond Felton ROFL. Man...We could change them from pretenders to contenders.

Oquinn/Lee/Jack for Singler/Patterson/Ferg/Felton and 2018 2nd.

They upgrade 3 positions and we take back 2 negative contracts in Singler/Patterson. Felton is trash but on a 1 year and should be cut.

Adams/Oquinn
Anthony/Grant
George/Grant/Huestis
Lee/Abrines
Westbrook/Jack

That is a deep team. Id say Lee is an upgrade over Roberson also, so now next season their bench improves even more when Lee or Roberson gets moved to the bench.

Knicks cut Singler/Felton. Knicks trade 3 guys getting 20+ mpg which should open things up for the younger guys to play. Next move is to trade Kanter/Lance for whatever you can get of value.

Hypothetical:

The Clippers call and say we interested in dealing you DeAndre Jordan and Lou Williams and we'll take back Noah's contract to make it work BUT we need both Willy Hernangomez and Frank Ntlikina. Do you do it? Easy no? At least entertain it?
