Simmons with a jump shot and healthy Biid we literally don’t need another max player. We need multiple super role players around them

Speak to me after we face the Rockets and Warriors.

I’m starting to think his shooting ability will one day be a strength from the small snippets we have recently seen of him hitting the J and his form looking semi decent

It’s possible he’s more valuable than Biid at that point

I've always thought not shooting outside was part of a plan.

Stage 1 learning to get to the rim.

Stage 2 is a jumper.

Stage 3..3 pointers

The Ben Simmons Megathread

The underlying message I take from Ben not shooting is really a reminder of how high his BBIQ is. He knows that the best shots he can take right now are closer to the rim. Once he develops and perfects his jumper, then that will be an equally “good” shot to take.

Yeah.. the more i see, the more i think he will be a much better shooter than most people think. Now i still doubt he will ever be shooting 40% from three on high Volume.. but he doesn't have to. Becoming a 40% Midrange shooter and 30 - 35% Shooter from three would be more than enough to make him totally unguardable.

The moment where he consistently takes and makes even "just" longer Mid Range Shots his Game will explode to another Level.. i cant even imagine what happens once he takes and makes at least open threes at even 30% ..

He is so naturally gifted and skilled in every facet of the game outside of shooting that I think that if he just makes it like 90% of his focus in the off-season that within 2 years he will be a least an average jump shooter.

What I mean by that is that he should get to the point where he can make defenses pay for going under screens on him and earn some basic respect from the defense out to the 3 point line.

If he just gets to the point where he is a bad 3 point shooter, as in 25%, he would become so much harder to guard.

It will take some time, but I’m confident that he will get there.

I think Silver picks whoever was next highest in coaches voting for the position... I could see it being Kemba/Dragic, unfortunately.

Simmons has an excellent chance of Silver picking him to replace Wall in the all star game

I hope it's Blake Griffin, so Andre can be pissed even more, because of his new teammate he would be snubbed again :D

TBH it would be better if he is not selected, it would feel bad for him to be picked only because of an injury, he should have been selected even with no injuries, if a guy like Embiid, who has played less games and hasn't played any back to back game is a starter, then why the hell is Simmons being snubbed?

you really have to hate embiid to say stupid things like that. embiid can do everything while simmons cant shoot and is inconsistent af.

Think goran dragic will get the nba all star pick from the the nba before Simmons.

Just because Miami has a better record and he’s been playing well

I admit I haven't seen a heat game this year. The only stat line he beats Simmons in is scoring and that by 0.5pt per game. every stat Simmons beats him easily.

wonder if Ben wants to the second injury replacement anyway.
