Yeah, the Lebron stuff doesn't make any sense because they still have to move a ton of cap to open up space for next offseason. Gallinari is an albatross at this point due to his injuries. Harris, Beverly, and Rivers are all on the books next year for another combined $30+ million.

Maybe the Clippers are looking for a team to take Gallinari off their hands?
They just acquired him this offseason but similarly dealt Blake after extending him too.

No way they're moving Gallo's deal without attaching value though. With Griffin you could still sell him that he's an All-Star, borderline franchise guy when he's healthy. But Gallo is significantly more risky (two torn ACL's in the past) and owed $62 mil over the next 3 years. Plus he's just not the same caliber of player as Blake.

Agreed. Am thinking about whether Deandre Jordan and / or Lou Williams would be enough value for a team to take on Gallo's deal.

That contract is pretty ridiculous. If they take Delly, Telly and Snell we can take on Gallo and a 1st

The Clippers can't stay competitive on the floor while also getting 2018 cap space while also leveraging Deandre + Williams for younger players and picks.
I trust Woj over Marc Stein. Maybe the 2018 Lebron chase talk is overblown. It'd make more sense if the Clippers were targeting 2019.
Yeah, I guess what they mean by competitive is that they don't get blown out in their losses, cuz they had very limited goals even with Griffin - I remember Griffin saying early in the season that they'll be happy to just make the playoffs. So, now their goal is to... strive for mediocrity - which doesn't make much sense. If they were planning on trading Griffin, they should have done it earlier in the season and tanked - to try to get a valuable top 5 pick. Now it's probably too late to have much chance at that. They can try tanking next season, but that would be admitting they screwed up this season for no reason. If they had chosen to tank this season and next - they'd have 2 high lotto picks plus extra picks in trade to go with a ton of cap room into the 2019/20 season.

Would anyone be shocked if we flipped Bledsoe? That might be the move here.

i wouldnt be shocked. and id be elated.
i like him as a player, i just dont think he fits. i hope our front office sees it as well.
id be a lot happier if we took a quick step back, by trading him for an expiring and a pick. start brogdon which makes sense. or even dellevadova. delly is finally in his role, where hes not a primary ball handler. it makes him soooooooo much better on the court imo.
what im saying is, 3+D pg. that is not bledsoe.

If there was a bigger picture at work here, Horst would get a Hinkie and Morey gold star if that was the case. Move those chess pieces and maximize your return.
Go Bucks!

I'd be shocked, but think it wouldn't be the worse thing, depending on the package we get.

Agreed
LAC: Bledsoe, Vaughn
MKE: Beverly, Lou Will, Harrell
I think I would do that assuming Bev isn't a PO for next season

I could see Kidd pushing hard for Bledsoe but now that he's out the front office values him differently.
Maybe Bledsoe could yield more now too vs when everyone knew Phoenix was desperate to deal him.

I see absolutely zero reason to trade Bledsoe. 4-0 since the firing of the clown and we wanna gut our back court? Especially considering that Bledsoe is on a bargain deal for next year, you let this play out the rest of this season before you consider dealing him.

Re: Bucks Trade Ideas Thread 2018
If they deem him unlikely to be worthy of re-signing next year they should at least be listening. however, all the hate on Bled here is also ignoring how critical he's been at crunch time in several wins. He's probably a big reason why the crunch time numbers have improved so much and they're closing better. Especially since we lack any half court structure on O, so actually having another guy besides Giannis who can make something happen is huge.
For me, i'd rather run a modern NBA offense that utilizes an attacking PG rather than have an everyone stand around offense that fits a 3/D type better.

The minute we'd trade Bledsoe, we'd get chopped to pieces by some athletic PG and people would wonder why we did that. Bledsoe will be fantastic come playoff time.
Now all that said, if there was a Kemba deal out there for him......

No need to conflate "willing to explore deals" with "hate."

Also, 3-0 with Bledsoe, 1-0 without him. He's been really bad lately.
