Dude has pretty clearly not been 100% for the past week or two imo. Was at like 19/4/4 w/ 2 stl on 59% TS for like 2 months before the recent rough 5-6 game stretch. The guy is a game changer at full strength. Just let him rest up and get that ankle 100%.

Agreed

Ditto. The whole idea of originally signing Delly is that he'd make the ideal off-ball "nominal" PG next to Giannis. Now clearly that hasn't worked out quite as well as was hoped, but I think a very fair argument can be made that Brogdon has become that player. Bledsoe's ball dominant, non-shooting skillset just doesn't mesh that well with Giannis.

And while the Bucks have gone 4-0 under Prunty, they've done this despite Bledsoe, not because of. Before missing most of last night, he averaged 13.3 points on 35% shooting (23% from 3) with a 2.1:1 assist:turnover ratio in the previous three games. These are not great numbers.

I loved the trade at the time, and maybe Bledsoe can turn it around, but I just don't see it anymore.

LAC: Bledsoe, Maker
WAS: Snell, Vaughn
MKE: Lou Will, Beverly, Gortat, one of Evans/Harrell/Thornwell

PG: Brogdon, Beverly, (Evans)
SG: Brown, Lou Will, Jet
SF: Middleton, Parker, (Thornwell)
PF: Giannis, Wilson, Mirza
C: Gortat, Henson, (Harrell)

Probably some additional value in there to even things out a bit.

And Middleton has had numerous bad stretches and we still want to cut off our nose to spite our face. They both move the needle as players. We've won 4 games in a row...but never trust the bucks.

You can make a decision on both Bledsoe and Middleton in the offseason or even the trade deadline next year. Their value isn't gonna suddenly drop off a cliff. The only guy that there should be any hurry to make a decision on is Jabari, re: extension vs. trade value.

If Bledsoe stopped shooting threes I'd be a lot happier with him.

Some folks always tend to overreact to small samples or just generally want to be wheelin and dealing. I get it, it's a message board for discussion so that's why we're all here. Similar to the first half game thread with someone advocating we should be playing Giannis a ton of mins due the small lineup with Mid at the 4. you know, on the second day of a back to back. Just after we've been complaining all year about Kidd running Giannis into the ground.

But let's just hope we get everyone back and healthy and see how the year plays out before shaking up again. Once Jabari gets a few weeks under his belt and Bledsoe is over this ankle thing will hopefully be the first time the team as at full strength in like 2 years. I'd like to see how it works before making any decisions. And even better is that it will be with a coach other than Kidd. And hopefully Plumlee or someone can be a good backup big to take Thon's mins too.

Nah, most of Bledsoe's 3's are off of open catch and shoots. You want him taking those. What he needs to cut down on is the long pull-up 2's.

Trading Bledsoe would be the worst thing the Bucks could do right now, unless he was flipped for Kemba which I don't see happening. I can't imagine Bledsoe's value is high enough where there are many deals that would make us a better team now and for this playoff run. And it's not like we are in a rush to get Bledsoe's deal off our books. He makes $15M in a contract year next season where he could easily command $20M on the open market. Now do I want to pay him $20M a year after next year? Not at all, but we decide on his future next season not a few months after acquiring him.

And with the Cavs being a mess the East is actually as open as it's been in 10 years. Really anything could happen and that includes the Bucks make the ECF and Finals. I'd still pick LBJ to fix it, but this year seems different.

I think we trade at least 1 of Bledsoe / Brogdon / Middleton / Snell in the next year.

Snell is on a locked in deal but has the lowest ceiling and would be the easiest to replace.

If Jabari isn't here things might look differently, but if he is, there won't be an overabundance of SF minutes either.

Similarly if we could get out from under Delly's deal it wouldn't make the allocation of resources in the back court as severe. But as it stands we just can't keep everybody long term.

We're really having a trade Bledsoe conversation right now? Let's see how the rest of the season and the playoffs pan out, wait until we have a full-time coach, then consider if we should deal him. Maybe a star becomes disgruntled in the offseason, like Kyrie this past summer, and then he becomes a good trade chip to build something greater. You're not going to get the best return right now unless something **** happens in the next two weeks.

I don't know what's with Bled's 3 point shooting this year. He's shooting barely over 30% when passed his prospect years it had been around 35%. If he shot that, while being selective, then it would be fine for our spacing.

Put two other volume 3 point shooters next to him in the starting lineup, while having a guy at center that's a threat, and those lanes open for Giannis + Bledsoe. Dedmon is the answer (helps our pick and roll offense too). It would change our outlook for this season a lot.

Surrounding just move Bledsoe, Brogdon, and Snell between 5th and 7th man, depending on if they're shooting. Tell them their role is dependent upon them making. Then it's up to them and Bledsoe claimed he wanted to win. Wouldn't trade him because he can be a game-changer.

Chicago has way too many centers if this goes through.

I'd be more than OK with this: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y72fsdyl

and slightly less OK with this: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y7wwgojl

To me, Brogdon and Bledsoe are a wash overall, but Brogdon is a much better fit. Meanwhile, DJ over any of our centers is a colossal upgrade. Plus, this feels like a package that would allow the Clips to "remain competitive."

Really think we're going to stand pat outside of maybe signing a big man or making some kind of move to get a guy like Dedmon. Things seem to be clicking right now, albeit against below-average competition.

What do we think the Bucks offer for Asik + the Pelicans' pick?

We've been linked to Asik in the past. And New Orleans could seriously use Snell. They'd need a win now big man too though is the challenge.

Asik also has an early termination clause in his contract in 2019 when Bledsoe / Brogdon / Middleton are free agents, so that lines up too.

Nothing hopefully. Asik is done and that pick likely isn't gonna be anything better than a mid-1st.

Jason Kidd's terrible offense is what happened. I'm interested to see how Bledsoe looks with an already improved offense once his ankle issues clear up.

we still run a terrible offense (and defense lol) we dont use Bledsoe to his strengths at all, may as well shop him before he breaks (unless its too late already)
