Mirotic has a NTC unless his option gets picked up by the Bulls. He wants his salary guaranteed next year, until then he can decline a trade.

To clarify — The #Pelicans Mirotic deal is still on the table. Just comes down to that $12.5 million option and adding another player or two to balance the salaries of the deal.

Mirotic will have alot of shots playing next to Davis but they still need a wing player

So apparently Pelicans are trying to dump Asik and want to attach the pick to do it so that they can get the cap space in the summer to resign Boogie without paying for luxury tax. Niko wants his money guaranteed. Pelicans don't really want Niko they just want a contract that expires this summer.
