I have such mixed feelings. Gasol and Evans are doing their part, but it's the young guys stepping up that has been the difference of late. Love to see them playing well but I really was hoping for a top draft pick.

I 'm holding on to this feeling that both will be traded by the deadline. With MC11 out for the season, it would make no sense to play for anything other than showcase the young guys and see what they are about. It's past time to take a leap on faith and hit the restart button at this juncture. The Clippers have started theirs already with the latest trade of Blake Griffin to the Pistons on Monday night.

Evans is 100% gone. Gasol I think we will hold on to just because I don't know if the return would be there for us. He is having a bit of a down year (defenses key in on him and other factors are in play but still) and he has a long expensive contract so I think other teams would be a little hesitant to open up the war chest for him. I wouldn't mind us aggressively trying to move Wright and then test the market on Green and Ennis. If you can get a decent return then take it. Shump or JR/Cavs 1st/Osman for Evans/Green or drop Evans and Osman from the trade. Asik/1st for Wright/Ennis. Evans for Bos 1st/TPE.

Wright without question should be moved. He has never fit into the Grizzlies scheme of Grit-N-Grind. Now that we are in transition, banged up and showcasing the young guys this season, it's past time to move him along with Green and Ennis. If possible get McLemore and Harrison out as well.

Unfortunately Harrison and Mclemore are nothing more than filler at this point. Just saw Love broke his hand. Wonder if that will make the Cavs more or less likely to make some trades. Green for Cavs 1st/Shumpert makes a lot more sense now to keep them afloat. He also would be a good player on an expiring deal next year so they could recoup some value if necessary.

These last few days or weeks have been nightmarish for injuries. With how destabilizing the Cavs have been playing this season and how things when down with Love last week, I was thinking he may get traded. Now that he has a broken hand, no trade will happen involving him now.

To Green for the 1st and Shump, some may consider it an overpay from the Cavs standpoint. Will they be desperate enough to pull the trigger just to acquire Green? It's a good question. The Cavs are in line to acquire George Hill within the next couple of days.

BTW, if you traded Evans, who would you get back in return?

Depends on who Evans goes to. If he goes to Boston, he fits into the DPE from Hayward so you wouldn't get a player back in return. If he goes elsewhere then you may get a cheap irrelevant player attached to a pick. Or maybe Detroit tries to put the cherry on top of their playoff push and do something based around Stanley Johnson for Evans (I don't know his value but my understanding is that he has been rough offensively this season even though he had a good game tonight). I don't see the Cavs doing Osman for Evans since I think they really like Osman but that's a loose shot in the dark.

Johnson would not be a bad idea. I never like his fit in Detroit with SVG. His profile never fit how SVG runs his schemes whatsoever. I thought Kaminsky was the better fit at the time. Unfortunately SVG traded for Ilyasova two days before the draft. Anyways, I can see a trade of that magnitude happening for the Grizzlies. SJ will need to continue his development. I see that Philly has some interest in Evans. I don't see anyone on the roster worth acquiring for the Grizzlies.
