2 top 10 picks in this draft is basically my dream scenario. Extremely likely to get one of Ayton, Bagley, Bamba, or JJJ, plus one of Porter, Doncic, Young, Knox, or Mikal Bridges.

Tobias Harris was a ball-stopper Melo-lite type. Was never really fascinated at all with his game and IMO made the Pistons much less watchable, so dumping him was addition-by-subtraction. Stanley Johnson was an exciting prospect his first few months in the NBA; don't expect a renaissance but he has some talent.

Otherwise, I'm just baffled with the trade ideas going out right now. I think the fan perception and actual GM perspectives have never been this far apart, and I think it's because the NBA is in such a wack with the unstoppable Warriors, the still relatively unstoppable Lebron in the East, and several teams just being unable to afford the new salaries being dished out versus just drafting rookies... and the value of the big man basically hitting an all-time low (although there is still clearly value in having a Whiteside, D. Jordan, etc.).

Basically, any player with 3+ years of NBA salary becomes a negative trade asset unless he's drastically underpaid. Which begs the question: why the **** do owners continue agreeing to terms with free agents that they simply can not afford past a 1-2 year window?

Lastly, I'm just gonna emoji in response to any talk of a Jabari/Lavine pairing. It is absolutely foolish investing max money in a player with ACL history, let alone 2 of them.

Agree with everything except the ACL thing, guys are different. Don't think you can make an absolute rule. 2 ACL's I agree though.

A lot of this craziness is the huge salary cap increase and the ridiculous spending over the last few years. Portland is the perfect example, what in the world were they doing? Now barely anyone has cap space and the league is full of obnoxious contracts for role players.

With Love's broken hand ...
He will be back a couple of weeks prior to playoffs. They are not very happy with him .. so .. lets offer them some help!
Lopez + Mirotic +Felicio+Holiday+Grant for Love, Thompson, Shumpert and BKN pick!

Cleveland deal that make sense to me is Mirotic for Frye, Osman, Cleveland’s 2018 #1 pick (probably in the 20s). We get a lower first rounder than with NO trade but take on a very small Osman salary next going forward.

We dont care about the small osman salary. if we cared, wed just not pick Niko's option. This would make more sense if its RoLo instead of Niko

Honestly, I'd rather take on more salary and get an actually good 1st for Niko, if that's what it came to.

Before posting a trade idea, you may want to work backwards from the list of teams that Niko is okay going to.
Otherwise it is an exercise in futility. BKN? CLEV? Yeah, I don't think they made Niko's list... Carry on...

How about trade Mirotic+ Felicio+ Grant for Love and then sell him to the highest bidder? Love is out 6-8 weeks so helps our tank and also if he plays well next season can trade for a lotterry pick next year. Cavs need to sell Love since hes garbage against the GS lineup and theres been locker room infighting.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

I think Cavs would have more interest in RoLo then Mirotic. They probably like both but RoLo would really help their defense and give them a true C to play with Crwoder/LeBron at the PF.

Dunn, Lavine, Portis, Mirotic, Lopez, and 2018 1st for Noah, Lee, and Porzingis. Unite the unicorns and use them to lure LBJ and CP3 to Chicago.

CP3
Lee
LBJ
Markkanen
Porzingis

Boom goes the dynamite.

CLE gets: Lopez, Hood
UTA gets: Niko
CHI gets: CLE #1, UTA #1, Thompson, Favors

2 #20-25 picks and use cap space, UTA gets Niko and dumps salary. Cle gets relief and Helpful players.

Rather have a higher pick but IMO Nik > a mid 20s pick but there isn’t a lottery pick available (sans NO). So get 2 for Niko and cap space.

To me, Niko/Rolo/Holiday/Grant to CLE for Love, filler and BKN & CLE #1's would be a nice (dream), but if there's a chance that:

1) Our guys are exactly what they need to fill in their gaps this year - which MAY sway LBJ's opinion to stay.
2) Their contracts are short enough that if LBJ signs another 1 year deal, they could all expire and facilitate a quick rebuild

Also, Love's contract is horrid, but we don't really care next year and in it's final year, it might actually be useful at the trade deadline.

Utah's pick is extremely likely to be a lottery pick.

Capela is not the type of max guy we are looking for. Easy for CP3 and Harden to make him look better than he is imo. Especially if were taking back Thompson. We need a more veteran, established guy. Even with the injury, I’d love to see us make a run at Cousins

With the Cavs in a tailspin (3-7, last 10 games) and now with Love out for 2 months, we are in a spot to offer them some help and depth. Lebron needs help and with this he gets some.

Bulls - Niko,Lopez,Holiday and Grant

for

Cavs - Love and Fyre

Bulls - Helps the tank big time with our depth all gone. We would basically lose out from here helping our draft pick.
Love is out for 2 months we would shut him down all year. I would then look to trade Love for the best pick possible at the draft. Some teams I can see wanting him are Grizzles (#8 pick, be good with Gasol and Conely) Phoenix (#5, They want to start moving forward)
Kings (#4 and WCS-have no 2019 pick start building again) Hornets (#10 and Monk -they want playoffs)

Cavs - Team is in fighting and demoralized, this brings in new blood and depth to try to help Lebron in lets be honest his last year in Cleveland. For the Cavs not only do they get help from an injured player they can't use anyway, they get to keep there Nets pick. There lineups are now better and deeper. Holiday has been hitting his 3s better then Smith and Niko can 3-D as a PF, and playmake a little bit as well. There bench becomes more solid as well.

Thomas/Grant/rose/caldaron
Holiday/Wade/Smith (JR Smith has been horrible this year, Holiday has been hitting 3s)
Lebron/Korver/Smith
Niko/Crowder/Green
Thompson/Lopez
