Looks like we are headed to 8k or so. But, in BTC terms that is nothing and might take place quite quickly.
S. Korea might once gain be open to trading though, so we might turn around on a dime over the next few days.
And the Tether thing might be scaring some people off but I think we will get past this regardless. (The S. Korean opening is huge imo. I believe the buying dates are today and in the next few days, forget exactly.)

XLM is a really good coin imo....TRX on the other hand is one of the worst imo and especially for a long term hold.

just pointing this stuff out because you said you made some noob mistakes and i dont want you making another one, that is, not cutting your losses and formulating an exit strategy if you start changing your opinion of something. nothing should be 100% absolute in investing. ride or die/emotional attachment really isnt the name of the game when it comes to investing

Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. Maybe "ride or die" was too extreme. For me, I have made an investment I'm comfortable with. It's all I'm Investing and willing to lose, and I'm going from there.

I like what the TRX Foundation is trying to do. Decentralizing content, and giving the owners some real power in it's distribution is something I believe in.

Dude. Thank you.

I couldnt even explain this to my good friend who is a top 40 under 40 FA the other day. He was laughing me out of the happy hour. He set a reminder on Siri one year from yesterday about my returns in crypto. I told him the tech is going to disrupt several industries similar to Netflix in the mid to late 2000’s. I’m forwarding this link. Preciate it, Rhodey.

I have an issue with his idea that consumers are going to be willing to pay for content that could be free. There have been a LOT of startups trying to steal influencers from YouTube, FB and IG over the past decade and they have all failed. They all try to do some kind of model where the viewer pays the content creator directly, but it turns out that we don't want to pay. Mostly because a lot of the creators aren't good enough to pay for. But also because we get it all for free on YouTube.

Certainly understand your stance. Blockchain will be enormous in China though in terms of entertainment. They don’t have access to a lot of things out there and this platform could alter a lot. I spent a lot of time out there and know first hand how censored it is.

Had it described to me in a way where the Nas boxes and being on blockchain the gov’t will essentially be bypassed. I’m not in tech and don’t have that level of understanding but I know the market is huge out there. Investment wise, off China alone, this thing could bring back serious returns.

like rhodey said nothing is certain

however, i find myself agreeing with earthmansurfer's interpretation

i think we are going to bounce off the current support line back into the 9500-10k range for a little bit, after which point we will drop into the 7600-8000 range

i wouldnt bet that it goes lower than that but anything can happen

Everyone has a different opinion and it’s all speculation at the end of the day. I’m just really interested to hear ur thoughts (as well as others) as to what maybe the reason for current deeps and where it may head. Never looking for definite answers on this board, but I do appreciate everyone’s views Incase there maybe some details that I may have over looked or haven’t considered. Good looks y’all. I’m on Reddit, but my luck is as good as y’all since we knicks fans so...... y’all like my peoples.

np

when it comes to trading and investing, the more view points that can be dissected and appreciated, the better.

also, since I wasnt clear in my post, the numbers i were throwing out were in reference to bitcoin.

I'll probably do a TA on xlm later on. I posted what I was gonna do with XLM a few days ago - hold it for a swing trade - but that was before the crash so things are a little different obviously. I still think that .000047 BTC is going to be around the lowest buy in you can get around this time. will still be good for a sell off at .00005 BTC at least imo. if youre looking for a long hold position these prices might be around as good as you're going to get. don't see it going back to 20 cents because that would suggest something catastrophic happened to xlm and/or btc. If you want as cheap as possible you can try when the correction brings BTC price down to around the 8k line

if you really believe in the project and want in on it no matter what, you can start dollar cost averaging into it during this dip

I'm not a financial adviser, but me and pretty much everyone in this topic think investing in crypto is a great move (that's why we are all here lol) that can yield life changing returns

I'd stay away from litecoin, at least for now, especially for new investors.

Bitcoin and ethereum are both interesting. Bitcoin is accepted as the primary coin that backs everything else - it is basically the "reserve" of cryptocurrency, if you will. Everything else, including ethereum, is commonly referred to as an alt coin. That said, There are almost as many altcoin-ethereum pairings as there are altcoin-bitcoin pairings (you can't exchange most crypto for fiat currency, so you use things like Bitcoin and ethereum as intermediaries) , so ethereum is a major player.

The draw to investing in cryptocurrency is blockchain technology. All the crypto out there utilize blockchain technology, and the market really involves investing in altcoins with promising blockchain technology and uses, with bitcoin being the ultimate store of value. there are a shytload of coins and strategies involved in the cyrpto space.

It behooves you to do as much research as you can on whatever you invest into.

If you're serious about investing in crypto now up to potentially 2 weeks from now an excellent time, as the market is in a slump and everything is cheap as ****.

if you live in the US, the major exchanges through which you can buy BTC, ethereum are coinbase (and its subsidiary gdax) and gemini

you then can buy the altcoins through a multitude of exchanges. coins should be stored on a wallet (there are posts about wallets in this topic and thru online searches).

There's just so much regarding investing in crypto it's hard to write everything in one post. You're best off learning as much as you can about it and then asking questions that come up here or somewhere you trust

What do you guys think about OMG? IMO this is one of the most solid projects out there. Tons of potential.

Yeah, I have been in loop with Crypto since last year. I just never thought to invest in something that is a ghost right now, specially when it comes to US market. nothing is ever guarantee but bitcoin has allow many medium-low income individuals an opportunity to be involved in the future world. Great write up, appreciate your input. I will definitely look into bitcoin this week and slowly build it up.

Thanks!!

Man these dips are scary. I keep thinking its over and then it goes even lower..

Gonna grab more ADA and TRX while they're cheap as hell. I think both will go up when the market rises again and corrects itself.

Plus I think its likely people getting their tax returns will boost the crypto market in the next 2-3 months because most people see that as 'extra' money.
