Its funny you don't really hear much negativity towards Philly about maxing out Embiid, who has missed 225 out of a possible 293 games. Which equates to 76% of games missed.

I certainly heard some, but what are you going to do. He's a max talent when he's on the court and Phili obviously wasn't going to just let him walk.

That's exactly my point, what are you gonna do?

Max talent guys get max worth contracts. Injury history withstanding, Blake's contract is right in line where it should be.

am i the only one who isnt worried about his injury history and wouldnt call him prone? he hasnt had many consistent and recurring injuries.

You are not the only one :-) That's why I started this thread. I wasn't even sure what his injury history was until I researched it. And now that I have, I'm not overly worried about it either. But even if he had never been injured even once, we are still at risk with that salary - if Blake (and to a lesser extent Andre) goes down for an extended period of time, it will be hard for us to do much about it and we'll be financially in really bad shape. But this is still a risk worth taking.
