Lots of brutal badness all around today, but to me there were 2 plays that kind of summed up the whole night. The first was the first play of the second half. Jazz shot and missed, No Jazz with inside rebounding position, but none of the Warriors went after the ball. Instead of finding and boxing out Favors, Draymond just stood there and gave a half-hearted reach for it but it went off his fingers, allowing Gobert (guarded by a disinterested Zaza) to swoop in and grab the ball.
The second play was where Durant got the ball a few feet inside the left corner, Curry uses Durant to hide behind him and pop the 3, a play they've run successfully a number of times this year. But Curry inexplicably bobbles the ball and trips, falling out of bounds and turning the ball over.
Just so much weak, half-assed energy. The defense hasn't been great lately but it was absolutely horrendous tonight. How the hell do you keep leaving Ingles wide open on the line when he keeps drilling 3 after 3 after 3? Durant got burned by him a number of times, apparently not able to be bothered to move to challenge his shot.
On the plus side, it was nice to see Klay find his stroke again, and nice to see McGee have a true impact game like we saw last year, unfortunately both for naught.
