Bumped knees at practice and questionable vs NY.
Whenever he plays well for a stretch he seems to find new ways to get injured.

I think its because of his style of play. He does a lot of his work moving aggressively through traffic.

He could average 50 points a game and he would still receive 0 respect here

IMO it's not 0 respect at all. It's only that everybody already knows who he is - a 3rd-4th option on a contender, so a player with a superstar potential(Booker) and the unknowns(the rookies) on this team are getting most of the talk/attention. In addition his style of play is not the most exciting, which is also a factor for not being popular among the fans.

And most of us are greatful to have him, especially on that contract. The only reason why his name comes up in trade scenarios more frequently than with others is that you have to give to get... Noone wants him traded for a late lottery pick or something like that, but if we are to get a superstar without giving up Booker or our 18 pick, he is first one out the door. Sad realities of the biz.

His style of play is fantastic. I love watching him work. BTW, being the third option on a contender is a star level player.

100%. Warren's sheer talent is nuts to me. His finishing ability is a rare gift.

Yeah, when I first read that it isn't exciting I had the same thought...I love watching the smooth game of his. But I've heard others say he's not exciting as well.

He's fun to watch in transition and in movement. Less fun when he's trying to create his own shot.

But he doesn't usually. His solo game is the high post. He's gotten really good at it.

Usually when he's at the high post, he'll usually have received the ball in a favourable offensive area already where he can spot up for the mid range shot or take his defender off the dribble. I'm talking more when the offense is initiated or reset with him out at the 3PT line.

Yeah, that's not the optimal use of his talent. Amare and Shaq were bad at that too.

DownToBuck finds him more than exciting
It also looks like we have another candidate for head coach job
Add DownToBuck to the poll!
When the season's over, I'm gonna take all the T.J. Warren highlights I made, which will probably be around 30 or 35 of them, stitch them all together, and upload the resultant hour-long video to Pornhub. I may or may not include cheesy porno music. Maybe I will upload a version with and a version without. But what I do know is this extravaganza of Warren buckets is going to the top of the charts on not only Pornhub, but also YouPorn and that other site with all the sick fetish stuff on it. That is my promise to you. For now, though, you'll have to be content consuming this video on a normal website for normal people who aren't depraved perverts.

In my opinion, he is big enough to set screens for Devin Booker, so, in my opinion, Triano should be running pick-and-pops with those two all day so Warren can get midrange jimbos all day like he's a shorter, darker Andrea Bargnani. Is there like a Monster link or something where I can apply to be the next head coach of the Suns?

I think some, who haven't played the game (not trying to cast aspersions on anyone here), don't understand how difficult it is to do what he does. Open 25 footers are easier to make than a lot of the shots he makes in traffic and from the angles he shoots.
I also love the quickness and confidence with which he plays. Most players receive a pass and then look around to see who is guarding them, then they pump fake a few times, maybe put the ball on the floor to try to work out a little better angle, and then maybe go up for a shot. TJ just catches the ball and goes up in one motion. Its so fast the D doesnt have a chance to react.
All the good Suns teams in my experience have had a guy like this. First it was Ced, then Marion.

This precisely. If I got back in that gym and worked on it, I could get around to shooting about 40% from 25 (when open) within a few days or a week. Not great, but not that hard, either. You ask me to do what Warren does at anything approaching a respectable percentage, and I don't think I could ever get there. It's just not in me. Some people have that talent. The degree to which Warren has it is mind-boggling.

Amare and Shaq are bigs.
So let's build a team around Warren with players like Bender/Chriss, who can shoot from outside, but can't get a rebound to save their life.
I'm OK with Warren(as 3rd-4th option), but want to see if he keeps the efficiency in more competitive(playoff) games, when he is not scoring on fast breaks or tricky shots in a blowout.

Nobody is denying the talent of Warren in this regard, but in the end most important is what really works, when the defense is working hart to stop you and usually it's the simple open shots after a screen, etc.

You see it's funny, I actually think that TJ is perfect for the playoffs. As has been said, he hits "tough buckets." I mentioned his developing post game (developing only in the sense of usage, because he certainly appears to me be great at it). He gets a ton of points in the half court coming off screens and by cutting. He's also started to nail the corner 3.
We simply disagree here. I think TJ's going to thrive in a playoff environment. The variety of moves and shots that he exhibits is hard to game plan for.
