Lebron to Rockets by deadline?
Would you guys be shocked if Lebron waived his trade kicker for the Rockets by the trade deadline? Not that it would happen even if he was willing, but would Morey do it ? Or would Morey wait till offseason to unload other guys on the team?

Anderson + Gordon + Capela + 1st rounder? that'd be a heavy price to pay but it could be a Verlanderian deal for a title.
I don't think CLE would do it though.
F: Ariza, Tucker
F: James, LMaM
C: Black , Nene
G: Harden, Green
G: Paul, MBrown

That would likely be the most HOU would offer or likely less if they know for sure Lebron is leaving with certainty, but i can't see Morey doing anything till the summer. It would be like the Melo situation where he would only rescind the trade kicker for a certain team.

I don't think they will, but who knows, just saying if they do decide on moving forward for a rebuild if the team continues with their poor play. They don't want to give up their brooklyn pick, so it seems like they might want to rebuild during the summer.

I said CLE probably doesn't do it but Capela's bird rights might interest them and Gordon is playing better than his current contract. They probably don't want Ryan but he's needed for salary matching.
Point is, there's not much available to trade for LeBron if you want to keep CP3, Harden and Ariza.
But it's really up to LeBron where he wants to go. Is CLE willing to lose LeBron for nothing a second time?

I realize that you want to undervalue Lebron because his contract is expiring, but even with him being a rental, this is nowhere near enough to make the Cavs waive their chance at a 4th straight Finals appearance.
If they DID trade LeBron, they would need lots of picks and young pieces, because their championship aspirations would be dead.
Capella is a nice piece, but certainly not the center of a Lebron James trade.

Honestly?
LeBron is 33.
Capella is 23.
I realize that it is Paul and Harden who are making Capella so effective, but it HAS to be noted that he's the most efficient player on our team.

Would LeBron be that efficient if we got him here? This year.. maybe. Next year.. maybe, maybe not.
Would he be able to fill in the PF gap we now have with Anderson gone?
Ariza would have go to rather than Gordon, no question. We still have LMAM and Tucker at SF, but losing Gordon would KILL us if Harden or Paul got injured or suspended or in foul trouble.
I don't think that trade works for either team.
A 1-2 year rental for a 10 year big man?
Nobody GUARANTEES a championship. Nobody. Not even GSW getting Durant (though that was obviously very close to being a guarantee).
Morey 2020.

No.
I wouldn't want to trade all of that away for a 2-3 month Lebron rental. If we could get a commitment from him to stay, then let's talk.

Re: Lebron to Rockets by deadline?
The problem is you can't make the salaries match for LBJ without sending one of Ariza or Tucker, and I don't think you want to trade them given the agreements they had with management and their role in recruitment. I really like this team the way it is constructed and think it can be competitive in the WCF with GS if everyone is healthy. LBJ would be an awesome addition, and the perfect stretch 4 Morey has always wanted and hoped Ryno would be, but sending out guys like Ariza, Tucker or Capela for a half year rental of LBJ seems short-sighted. If CP3 and Capella are intent on staying with the Rockets next year, then them+Harden should be the future of this team. LBJ can come in free agency if he's serious about winning another ring.

I don't think the Rockets will trade Capela at all. He is just progressing too well. He will be matched this summer.

Re: Lebron to Rockets by deadline?
Doubt LeBron allows the Cavs to trade him mid season. As far as holdem trade goes Cavs would likely have him go to a third for more assets like another first.

Will he actually play in Morey+MDA system?
He got Blatt fired because he wanted a black head coach.
We finally have players and coach that play the Moreyball.
I don't want to change it again.
I know Cavs spacing is awful but LeBron looks slow from time to time.
Lazy on defense and can't drive by his defender.
he doesn't have to do all the heavy hitting if he does play for rockets. we have harden , cp3 to do some of the workload.

Unless you have incontrovertible proof to support such an accusation, I think it's reckless to post something like that as if it were fact.

It's rumor floating around the internet. You believe what you want to believe. During his first year return to Cleveland he always ignore Blatt and he wanted Mark Jackson to coach the team. And we all know what happen next.
Again, you posted something you know to be a rumor as though it were fact.
You levied an defamatory accusation against another human being for which you have no evidence and there is no proof.
If that's what you need to believe to justify your feelings regarding Lebron, so be it. But that makes it no less reckless and irresponsible to present such despicable gossip as if it were truth.
By the way, those same "rumors" were uttered about Chris Paul and James Harden too.
