Is this an easy decision I'm missing like I shouldn't be torn on what we should do with Jabari?

Reaction to the "torn" word choice. :)

I know these ideas have been tossed around endlessly, but I do like combining LAC/ATL ideas to boost ourselves into contention now while improving the books moving forward.

#1: Parker, Henson, Delly, Vaughn to LAC for Jordan, Lou
#2: Telly, Maker, Wilson to ATL for Dedmon, Ersan

Bledsoe / Brogdon
Snell / Lou Will
Middleton / Brown
Giannis / Ersan
Jordan / Dedmon

10-deep rotation that could really threaten the Cavs/Celtics.

I don't love the idea of trading Jabari, but this saves us from ourselves with him. Just pull the trigger and don't look back. Ideally, you get DeAndre to agree to an extension upon arrival, but if not you have a core of Giannis/Mids/Bledsoe/Snell/Brogdon/Brown and ~$30M in cap space to sign or trade for another core player.

yea.
i can get with this ^^^

remove jabari, telly, delly, henson $
"go for it" for this season, maybe next year.
re-sign bled, midds, brog (or not and get the best FA out there with a max offer)
only other badish $ is snell
find 3 Dedmon types, in draft and FAs to do the dirty work
maybe some $ in there to find another quality piece.

maybe im OFF on how much these guys will get in their next contracts

2019
Giannis 26$M
Midds new $ 20$M
Bled new $ 20$M
Snell 11$M
Brogdon new $ 10$M
Brown new $ 6$M

would have to get rid of Snell before 2019 imo
if those other #s are correct thats about 85$M,
with about 20$M, depending on cap rise, Bucks could use to get another quality FA,
better than Snell.
then fill the roster with ur draft picks and vet minimums.
4 seed 4 ever ?

I don’t know why you guys want to bring in centers that aren’t ideal players for the modern NBA. I don’t buy that DAJ or Whiteside are guys who move the needle

I don't understand this thought process at all? I mean what is your ideal version of this modern NBA player? Not every big man can be Joel Embiid, someone as simple as Larry Sanders was the ideal version of the modern NBA big for this team and Hassan Whiteside and Deandre Jordan are both Larry Sanders on steroids. It makes absolute perfect sense why you bring one of those guys in. A front line of Middleton Giannis and Whiteside/Jordan 100% moves the needle real far in the direction we want it to go.

Just spitballing but with Love being out 6-8 weeks if Cleveland offered Love for Jabari plus contracts would you do it?

I do think DAJ and Whiteside move the needle. I think there are essential 3 types of centers in the league; the Athletic defensive centers, those who mainly rebound, block shoots, and basically just dunk (Dwight, Whiteside, DAJ, Dummonds, Capela, Chandler, TT, Saunders); the do it all centers who can shoot the 3 (Joker, M. Gasol, Cousins, Embiid); and the old school centers(Kanter, Monroe, Vuc, Okafor). The Old school centers are the ones who really don't move the needle; either being pushed out of the league or being put into bench roles. The do it all centers are typically your center pieces and can be built around. And the athletic bigs are great complimentary pieces as they can rebound and block shoots but are best paired with play makers on the perimeter as they lack scoring potential. This is what makes athletic bigs like DAJ and Whiteside good fits for the bucks, with guys like Jabari, Giannis, Midds, and Bledsoe on the perimeter, this puts them in the position where they can just focus on what they do best which is rebound, block shots and catch allys.

No. Not a fan of Love. I'd take him for free, but wouldn't give up an asset for him.

The Bucks have played at an elite level all season long when John Henson is on the floor. How would Jordan or Whiteside not move the needle if they are replacing all of Thon's minutes and some of Henson's?

If Kevin Love ever came to Milwaukee he'd just get fat and lazy again like he did in Minnesota. No thanks.

On logic, the odds of Jabari blowing another ACL are way, way too high to ever invest $100 million in him concurrently with our 4-year window with Giannis. If we're wrong, we're screwed.

Kind of tired of this argument given all the teams that have 20M+ in either bad investments, injured investments or even marginal investments.

Ryan Anderson isn't holding Houston back from anything, Hayward isn't holding Boston back from anything, GS still wins championships without Livingston and Andrew making 20M+, I mean, I get where it is coming from, but if he were to get hurt it doesn't end all hope by any means. You just can't have it in conjunction with Delly, Telly, Snelly, Henson making 40M per year.

but the Risk is too high.
im ok with moving Jabari or letting him go,
even if he becomes an all-star.

i dont want to waste the $ and time, if he were to get injured again.

that will waste, years and chances with Giannis

You just can't have it in conjunction with Delly, Telly, Snelly, Henson making 40M per year.....this is an entire convo on its own

But if you trade him for nickels and he turns out to be Tracy McGrady, then you're the Raptors and wonder "what if?" like the McGrady/Carter duo.

It was actually the opposite, he got drafted fat and then slowly got into great shape as a Timberwolf lol

Seems like Horst is just trying to improve the roster which is good news.

Interesting. I wonder what we would give up to have Tyreke be our legit 6th man for the rest of the season and possibly beyond?

If Evans is fetching a first round pick, we should be able to get something significant for Jabari.

If Memphis wants a first round pick count me out. Not worth it for a half season rental. But if they want to include a player like Wright, rabb, seldon, brooks or Davis with him I might be interested.

Exhibit A on why it was stupid to sign Snell to his deal.
