Pelicans 1st Round Pick Tracker - protection details in OP

The Bulls board isn't complete without the tracking of another team.

Pelicans are currently 7th in the West. Clippers are 2 games behind. Despite the Griffin trade, they're not really tanking until they get rid of Williams and Jordan. The Jazz are also 5 games behind.

Pelicans have a challenging next five games against the Thunder, Timberwolves, Jazz, Pacers, and Sixers - all teams that have playoff ambitions.

Key thing to watch is Davis' health. He on average misses 15 games a year.

Hoping to get late lottery pick, at least should be around 15-17. Lonnie Walker would be really nice addition if he drops that far. Looking good.

I don’t know if the Clippers or Jazz will be actively competing and winning games just to be face rolled by the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs. Hopefully they don’t join the Tank.

I think the pick can fall into number 14 since Cousins went down and Mirotic was having a streaking March performance earlier. If that lottery pick somehow gets into top 3, Bulls are easily contenders after few years. Getting some combination of Young, Doncic, Porter, Bagley would be a homerun.

Your right. Fk that protection. Should have been unprotected after handing out that 2nd round pick. Just got too excited after the potential of getting a lottery pick. At least number 14,15 will give the Bulls Miles or Carter.
