I'd argue that Wilson probably has some value.

NOBODY wants DJ Wilson.
NOBODY wants Mirza Teletovic's contract (which is only valuable o the Bucks at this point)

adding either of these two in trades, unless it's for someone else's trash, is just not happening

Any facts to back up those claims?

If a team can be convinced that Mirza will end up coming off the books as a medical retire, he instantly becomes valuable to teams wanting to shed some cap space.

DJ Wilson hasn't shown anything yet, but he is still a 1st round pick in the first year of his rookie deal. I doubt that we were the ONLY ones who liked him leading up to the draft, and contenders love projects like him to try to develop them into cheap role players. Not saying he has a ton of value, but he's worth more than nothing.

I think a team like Atlanta, unless there's a better deal out there, would feel good about something like Dedmon/Ersan for Delly/DJ/Thon. They're going nowhere fast, this helps the tank and gives them a chance to hopefully turn those two young guys into players.

I would imagine DJ has more value than Mirza. Mirza may never play an NBA game again, I can't think of a team that would willingly take him on without sending out an even larger contract. Obviously, many of us here were never too high on DJ and were disappointed on draft night, and (for the most part) continue to be disappointed. However, he's a young player. Young players have value no matter what in this league. A team like Atlanta who has no imperative to win this year would take him, same with Brooklyn and a litany of other teams.

I am basically at Thon and Wilson for just about anything serviceable. Both for Dedmon....Just get it done.

Mirza ONLY comes off the books if he doesn't play for the team he's with after one year....for the Bucks, that's November 7th....for a team they trade him to, that clock starts over once he's acquired. So he's useless to anyone but the Bucks.

Nobody wants DJ Wilson. Nobody wanted him much before the draft.....and surely nobody wants him now. He will get you nothing more than another teams trash. Which might be fine if Dallas views Nerlens Noel as trash, or the Knicks view Kyle O'Quinn as trash.....but it won't get you any player of real value.

I bet we could get the Raps pick from Brooklyn for DJ if we asked them about it.

You are new around these parts. We've seen things happen in trades that people had proclaimed couldn't happen. John Salmons getting dealt for positive value. Plumlee going for basically expiring contracts. RJ going to the Spurs for cap relief and slight positive value.

Find the right team. That's the key.

yes, you're right....all it takes is one team. But I saw more out of Yi Jianlian and Joe Alexander than I've seen out of DJ Freaking Wilson.

i've been a Bucks fan for 40 years, and I don't know if I've ever seen a softer, more useless, NBA player in all my years.

Who knew Brandon Knight was worth a top 3 pick? This board had him pegged at middle to late second rounder.

Khris for Bogdanovic and Sabonis ?

That's actually a pretty interesting premise. I've been a big Sabonis fan for awhile, it's been cool to see him flourish playing with not Russell Westbrook

he's older than Rashad...but everyone is willing to write him off

Ok? Where did I ever say Rashad doesn't?

That said, Rashad is in his third season and can't get on the floor. Wilson is a rookie and can't. I like Vaughn, but it's a little bit more telling to me that the coaching staff doesn't trust him three seasons in than it does them not trusting Wilson less than halfway through one.

And you could say the same thing for Wilson...

Monk has about as much value as Wilson right now. He’s been pretty awful, and from reports it doesn’t seem like he has much work ethic/effort. He was out of their lineup completely for a while.

Nah he doesn't. He's still a 19y/o former 11th pick who has seen the NBA court vs. a 21y/o 17th pick who hasn't. And Monk's work ethic is just fine. I've got no idea where you picked that **** up.

Monk literally was pulled from the lineup for showing no effort on defense. When asked about it his excuse was the game is fast and veteran players know where to be. So yeah, not exactly a gym rat.

So far Monk has shown he is the exact player his detractors said he would be, and now half of his team’s front office thinks he is a bust. He is the Hornets Rashad Vaughn. Did Vaughn have more value than Wilson his rookie year as well? No. Nonsense to believe he’d fetch anything more.

I'd really like if the Bucks could get Monk without giving up a core player.
