Think our guys are fatigued. No more 4 games in 5 nights on the new schedule but the game against New Orleans after this one will be our 5th in 7 nights. Long road trips both ways.

No Plumlee leaves this already poor defensive team without their best rim protector. If our offense looks like it did in our 8 straight wins we'll be fine. If we're indecisive and the ball sticks like it did against Washington we might be DOA.

He is not our best rim protector - he's our only rim protector. We seem to play to the level of our competition but if one superstar gets hot ... the Nuggets are toast. Westbrook seems to love destroying Denver and no doubt Anthony would love to destroy us. It might be an interesting game, but if I was a betting man, I'd be looking at badminton tonight. 8-)

Westbrook v Rocky is my favorite rivalry.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

OK - so basketball is entertainment regardless of what some fanatics think; but Westbrook v Rocky is at a whole different level.

billy donovan's stated reasons for continuing to start terrance ferguson are bizarre and just plain idiotic. he refers to ferguson as someone who can bring shooting and defense (???), and that people get too wrapped up in who starts games (???).

What is bizarre or idiotic about either one of those statements?

1 ) ferguson is a poor shooter and defender.

2 ) the starters are the unit that is playing the most minutes in the game, so the relative success of the starters is the most influential.

The way things are going around the nba I’ll just be happy with no injuries this game. We might actually have a coaching advantage tonight.

You’re right, it would have been much better had he just said that.

russell westbrook standing flat footed while will barton shoots an uncontested shot four feet from the rim is classic westbrook. our defense is just simply going to collapse without andre roberson. we can't force turnovers without him and that was really our only defensive strength. this season is effectively over unless we can replace him with someone.

We can't defend at all. Like absolute 0 effort from Russ or Melo on that end. Having two dudes be completely disengaged defensively ruins every coverage against a team like Denver who shares it effectively through multiple actions. Them playing 3 guards to start this game guarantees we give up open 3s on every possession.

Russ’ lack of effort on defense is maddening.
