Brogdon going down for an extended period of time makes me want even less to make a win-now trade. You're not replacing him at the deadline for cheap.

I'm not saying he will become a point guard. His best chance of making it in the NBA as a starter is to land on a team that doesn't play through a traditional PG and instead could field an off-ball shooter there (wow, like the Bucks do, what a coincidence!).
Except, you know, that he's not that good of a shooter.

Well, there is the difference. I think he could be an elite shooter. Obviously opinions differ.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be an ass.

I'll give that maybe, maybe, he could develop into an elite shooter, but I just don't think it's going to happen given his track record as a shooter. He's been pretty awful this year and was not known for having a good jump shot in high school. I know he tore it up at Kentucky, but I am starting to feel more and more strongly that that was an outlier.

For me to be interested, he'd have to consistently prove he was an elite shooter. And I mean elite by being around 40%. Otherwise he doesn't bring much else to the table.

IF the cost of acquiring him in order to find out is low, then the juice is worth the squeeze

Sorry if this question has been asked and aswered several times, but does the Bledsoe trade and the Stepien Rule effectively make it virtually impossible for the Bucks to trade a 1st round pick? And does that basically take the Bucks out of the running to trade for Tyreke Evans or Lou Williams?

We shouldn't be trading 1st round picks for half-season rentals anyways.

I would trade for Aaron Gordon. Maybe Horst can pull one over on Hambone.

If you put Middleton, Thon and Henson on the table, I would guess you could pull some pretty good value back from them, if you were willing to take Biyombo's contract as part of the deal

Me thinks that Hammond would rather not go through the local media questions on Thon's age again once the Orlando fans inevitably get pointed to our thread about that.

Hammond has a strong affinity for Thon and Middleton, frankly I doubt wherever Thon ends up next his age will be much of a factor or much noise. It'll just be assumed he is older and that's that.

I'd be trying to nab Isaac. Not sure what he has done this year, but I really thought he was an intriguing prospect around draft time.

How cool is it to see Reke have an all-star caliber season after all this time? Dude is a real, full basketball player now. Great story.

If we would trade for Gordon, we'd have to trade Jabari as we're not going to sign 2 big extensions putting us massively over the luxury tax. Unless you find enough expirings we can acquire in the process.

Reke is such a god awful nickname. People should stop calling him that.

I think he's a free agent at the end of the year too, and he's gonna get PAID by someone
