Don't know why the Celtics didn't just use the full DPE. With Non-Bird Rights they can retain him next season at 120% of his salary - a lot more likely at $8m than $5m.

Also he's giving up more playing time in NOLA when he has a contract summer coming up.

Would have liked to see him on the Pels.

The Celtics give him a chance to win a playoff series, and more, for the first time in his career though.

Do the Celtics need to waive someone? Who would they waive?

Moose is gonna be devastating in his 18 minutes a night for Boston.

Boston have a really good team and an excellent coaching staff. It will be interesting to see how Brad Stevens will utilize Monroe and how Monroe will perform.

Monroe can do real damage in a potential matchup of Celtics vs Cavs.

Monroe could cause some big problems for GS in the finals.

I'd rest Horford every time they get a 10 point lead, bet Moose looks great under Stevens by the time the playoffs roll around

I think they would put Kyrie and Moose in a PnR and go crazy. Boston switches really well and everyone guards in space pretty well. Its not an ideal fit. I don't understand why he didn't go to NO.

Heck, we might be able to pick him up next year on the MLE.

You are raising some very good points, which is why I mentioned it is interesting to see how Brad Stevens utilizes him. For what it is worth, I believe that Monroe does not start (Baynes still starts ahead of him). So Brad has options to limit Monroe's shortcomings by utilizing other lineups.

Mitchell is so refined, i'll be happy with either him or tatum who has numerous go to moves to beat his defender. Also nets may have found their starting center in allen. Poor okafor, most skilled center coming out of college for some time but it's not working out in the pro's.

ESPN: Another triple double from Westbrook!

No mention he shoots 7/21 for 16pts in a loss to Pels. I swear work experience kids who don't watch the games write game reports.

9 turnovers and 14 missed shots isn't that great I don't give 2 sh*ts about a triple double if you lose at home to a short handed team that just lost a top 10 player to injury a week ago. 43 and 10 from AD in a road win is a million times more impressive than Westbrook.
