I'm thinking the Suns want to keep Bender and Chriss. Othwerise this might be done already.

If this was even an option, we might also have to take back Biyombo which would mean including Monroe and we can't do that anymore.

What if they think Isaac is their future 4? Why would they want Bender or Chriss? Also, why would we want to give up stuff for a guy that is a RFA? Because we'd match a max offer? Should we have a limit of what we would pay him? If so, why not offer that in free agency? If it gets matched, so be it.

Anyway, I think our PFs can be just as good (or at least one of them), if not better...and they are cheaper for now when we need cap space.

Is Gordon the one big fish you want with Booker and that is a championship contender with JJ and Warren and our pick?

They have a good new front office (the ones that drafted Giannis and now Isaac) and my guess is they want either a really good offer or they will keep him. But who knows what their thinking is? We have two developing PFs. I don't wanna pay max money to have another one...even if it is a swap of one we currently have.

Why did you use per game and not per 36 and why did you pick rookie seasons?

What happens when you change both to their 2nd season @20 years old?

Because Chriss' 2nd year stats are not representative for his true talent, for various reasons: him being out of shape to start the season, coaching, awful PG play etc.

I don't know why everyone pays so much attention to Chriss' struggles to start this season (he's been much better lately) and completely dismiss his great play last year, especially post all-star break, when he averaged:

12.7 pts, 5.9 reb, 1.0 ast, 0.9 stl, 1.4 blk, .580 TS% in 26.9 mpg

Gordon in his 3rd year averaged: 12.7 pts, 5.1 reb, 1.9 ast, 0.8 stl, 0.5 blk, .530 TS% in 28.7 mpg

If another team (besides the one who has his rights) offers him a max, it's probably about 4 years, $107 million or so....so an avg of about $27 million a year.

Thanks

Interesting about the Spurs

they won't have much to work with cap wise this summer but they can do some things

I think the Suns should be on the horn to Orlando if truly Gordon is on the market

Booker, Gordon and Jackson is what I am talking about people!

Magic do have some horrible contracts though - wonder if Knght for Fourier would entice them

Listen to you, does that mean you think my idea was dumb? Very good, but I disagree. Players are not robots, they tend to stay in with teams that trade FOR them. There's some loyalty involved, n I think it'd be a good situation with him, book n jj, n maybe even warren. Good situations, n moving to a new area, to another new area after that is harder to do for some. Get a guy in with a few of young, potentially star players, n e might just leaving towards staying, n taking a couple mil less.

Everything is a risk, so you have to gauge it. Now don't give up too much, that's why I said maybe Warren, unless you can extend gordan during the trade. Again, a risk, just like every player aquisition is, some more, some less.

I think its in the 20s. The magic might just match whatever if they can't find a trade. Teams sometimes just bite the bullet and payi instead of losing a guy for nothing then figure they can flip him later. We've seen this with porter and crabbe recently and even in a way the griffin contract this summer was like that.

I could be talked into a trade including Bender or Chriss and not our pick. Personally, I think it'd be best to hold onto Bender in that scenario because how Gordon was playing before this month is well on track toward what we would want Quese to develop into. The contract situation is a bit worrying though, I don't think he's worth near a max contract but you never know if he'll get it. Not many teams with a lot of cap space though.

I would trade for Gordon without hesitation. He has everything that we want...he is young, he is improving every year, he is a good defender and great athlete, he is a hard worker, he can space the floor at PF....

We have the money to pay him next season, we are not gonna have better options to pay for.

I would offer them Bender or Chriss and Miami or Mil pick. Probably both picks if necessary or even a little more.

No chance we trade Warren. I think Gordon fits perfectly on this team.

Nope, prime players are 28 years old or so and Booker is only 21 we are going to get to enjoy playing till he is around 34. I would rather take 13+ years of Booker then 4 to 10 of Magic, Kobe or Kareem.

Please stop. 2 of the three are top 5 players all time, n the other is top 10. Let's not get crazy.

So you dont think that Booker has the possibility to have a career like Kobe? I do. I also believe that a full career of a top level superstar (15 years) is better then only 4 years of a all time player. 15 > 4 maybe you missed out on that simple math.

Am I taking crazy pills?? Why the love-fest for AG? Another tweener project? Sure he's a little more polished right now than Chris and Bender, but also older and further along in the process. I'm not saying it's TERRIBLE, but how is he a perfect fit? I'm being genuine here, someone explain it. Agree or not agree I don't know where I sit, but right now I just don't understand it.

AG is better than any free agent out there, he's young and he can grow with the team. Who cares about the money. Are the warriors going to be done by the time his next contract is up? Probably not. Why not take a chance on him and see what we have at the end of his next contract.

Because he's an entertaining player and he has improved a lot of aspects of his game this season. A Booker/Gordon pick and roll could be devastating. AG has the ability to roll to the hoop or even flare out/slip the screen and shoot the three.

AG reminds me of Thad Young, a tweener stuck between 3 and 4. I hope we don't give up on Chriss for him.

Gambo says it will cost the Suns first rounder and pay him the max

My deal: Miami, Milwaukee, Bender or Chriss

I've seen suggestions of Suns pick, Jackson, for Gordon, Payton and OKC 20 1st rounder. I'd pass on Gordon.
