Don't they have a competition for #elite defenders?

Ain't nobody touching our guys in the "Dig" competition.

Actually, this is a gross oversight by the selection committee. The Hornets should be represented at least in the three point competition. Not as shooters though, obviously. Just to stand around the basket so the competitors will make more corner threes.

I would sign Monroe just to keep him from going to the Cavs

I actually wanted to see him go to the Cavs to see if their defense could get any worse lol.

If Lebron takes his talents to Golden State, that would be the ultimate glam on move...worse by far than Durant going there. Talk about chasing titles.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I agree. I’d bet my monthly salary on Cleveland coming out of the East to face GSW (barring injury) in the Finals.

I honestly never believed Donovan Mitchell would be this good this quickly but I also still believe Monk is just as talented most likely more talented than Mitchell. He is just stuck with a head strong coach that doesnt want to take his lumps with a rookie.

LBJ reported to be fed up with Cavs owner. I am sure Cavs owner is fed up with him. I would trade his butt to a team you could get something decent from and be done. The guys is an amazing player but a total whiner and diva.

Unfortunately, 99% of (bandwaggons) cav's fan would want to kick him (to say the least). But yeah, that would be "my decision" too

I think LeBron has a trade clause.

I hope Lebron tells the Cavs he intends on leaving and waives his no trade clause for a trade to the Rockets. I want to see Golden State lose.

I thought about that, but I actually think he makes the Rockets worse. Just MHO.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Joe Ingles is the player we wish Batum could be. Team first passer, extra play maker super efficient.

Utah have been killing it recently and he is a big reason. It's amazing how he just stumbled into Utah, pretty much signed to be a friend to Exum at first.

He was already pretty good in Europe, spanish league & Euroleague.

And btw, a prospect that could emerge as a decent point forward should be in 2018 draft, Sedekerskis. He is not (yet?) a reliable shooter, but he has the toughness, fundamentals, to perform nicely in this league. The only counterpart being that he is under contract with Vitoria and most likely has a big buy out (which means he would be playing in europe for a while).
He is under most radars (pretty sure no one knows who he is here) but you would watch a few of his games you would understand why i am high on this guy. A bit like Ingles, sort of swiss knife facilitator.

It's promising that we were planning to draft him. People had Monk ranked as a top 5 pick and he fell to us. I would've been livid at the time had we been able to draft Monk and passed on him for a guy that was originally being mocked mid-first or later. If anyone knew Mitchell would be this good, he would have never made it out of the top 5.

All that being said, Monk's confidence has been totally destroyed by this coaching staff. He has not been put in position to succeed and he gets to watch MCW get all of his minutes when he's one of the worst NET rating guys in the league. Early in the season when Monk was getting playing time, he was playing like we'd expect a 20 year old rookie who is on the smaller side to play. But he also lit it up a few times which gives you a glimpse of what he can do. I think he'll turn out to be really good for us once we get a coach who uses him properly.

The "he's undersized" or "not good defensively" is sort of a joke to me when we play Frank as many minutes as we do. It's also a joke wen we have nothing but guys who are good defensively + Kemba Walker in the game most of the time. We are already bad defensively and don't defend the 3. If we're going to be bad anyway, please find a way to use a guy who can make shots. Portland has two electric guards who are undersized that drive their entire offense on a nightly basis.
