Seems like this fight will have the khabib and Tony curse.

This seemed to be the obvious fight to make.

Cyborg fighting another natural 135 pounder making her UCF debut? Yawn.

Flat out love this matchup. I have no clue how it's going to end up.

Oops, I bumped the old thread. But yea. After saying she doesn’t want to fight Nunes, because she’s a 135.

T-City here to save the day. Still not geeked for this event or any of the upcoming ones really. The better ones are ironically the free ones, and even they are getting broken up by force-feeding lady's fights to us. Just have to watch them on delay I guess.

I know bern is going to think I'm an Ortega hater, but I'm so excited for the odds to be released for this fight. I don't see an avenue for Ortega outside of submitting a guy who doesn't get submitted...

You are a T-City hater, as you were a Cub-hater. That fight must have been tough for you because someone had to win.

One way or another, Lil' Frankie has to come in to Ortega's city no matter what. Be it the T-City, G-City, or Knee-City. And that's his out. Frankie has never seen this level of jits or craft.

The Prodigy disagrees. Yes Frankie beat Penn twice, but Penn was a high level jits fighter. Frankie just beat him on the feet.

Frankie has been another guy I've had luck with over the years. Guys like Yair or Cub not being huge underdogs to him LOLz. I also bet on Benson beating Edgar a second time, but I think I got lucky on that one. :D

Does anyone else kind of wish the UFC would split off the women's division and re-brand it under it's own thing? Might be the best thing for the UFC and the fan base.

The problem is that the UFC has four women's divisions at this point with enough combined talent for exactly one division. I have no issues with women's fights but the talent level is so low. Look at Paige vs Jessy or whatever her name was recently, very very low level fight in terms of skill on a main card. The UFC keeps trotting the likes of Bec Rawlings or Angela Magana out, I mean how embarrassing is that?

Exactly. There is a market for women's MMA, but there isn't enough UFC caliber women and they are watering down the cards. I'd love to see them split off the women's division into it's own org with their version of PPV level cards (Cyborg, Nunes, Joanna, title fights...) on FS1 and the rest of the cards free on UFC Fight Pass. I think that could really work.

I think they expanded the divisions way too soon. I think the talent is growing at a pretty solid pace, but not fast enough to fill 4 divisions. My biggest problem with the women divisions are that it seems like the UFC is force feeding these fights into the main cards. There are plenty of fights on FS1 cards that I would rather see on a PPV fight over a Cat Zingano/Vieira fight. Hell give me the CB Dolloway/Hector Lombard fight or Dodson/Munhoz fight on from that same card that I would rather see over that Zingano fight on the main card.

I think a separate organization or have just female fight cards on FS1, right now it seems like theyre just putting female fights on cards just to put female fights on them. There might be 4-5 girls right now that I think are good enough to fight on a PPV main card. Female fights are just so new compared to the rest of the UFC and the talent depth isnt there yet.
